Reeve's RPG Growth

描述
Turn RimWorld into an RPG.

Reeve's RPG Growth adds a Knowledge system. Pawns earn Knowledge as they learn skills. Spend it to make them stronger.

What you can do:

- Boost Stats - Permanently buff Move Speed, Work Speed, Psychic Sensitivity, and more
- Upgrade Passions - Cycle through Minor, Major, and modded passions.
- Buy Traits - Pick up new traits like Tough, Iron-willed, or anything from other mods.
- Level Skills - Dump XP directly into skill levels.
- How XP works: Just play. Working and fighting earns Knowledge. Pawns with Fast Learner or high GlobalLearningFactor traits earn it faster.

Features:

- Sandbox style - no classes, build pawns however you want
- Mod support - traits are auto-found from other mods. passions and expertise from Vanilla Expanded work. toughness skill from toughness mod works.
- Configurable - adjust in mod options!
- Lightweight - minimal performance impact
- Support for animals, pawns, buildings, and weapons/apparel!
- Destroyed items/buildings and killed pawns can have their exp refunded (configure through mod options)
- Requires Harmony.

I'll probably be done with major changes for a while.

Bug reports are always welcome!

This is a wonderful mod. After the recent update, the flight-related options seem to have disappeared — was this an intended change?
Also, I think it would be great if there were an option to allow manually setting negative values for parameters added by the mod.

@tobiaslarsson87 Good catch! I'll update that. Thanks so much for reporting it!

Some of the stat boosts work a bit reversed. Putting points into Incoming Damage Multiplier for example actually increase the damage you take rather than reduce it and the same goes for Aiming Delay. They probably need to be increased by a factor of -0.01 to actually be beneficial rather than detrimental.

Well ♥♥♥♥! That was easy! Multiplication is my Kryptonite.

Thanks for the immediate response, and a perfectly ''working as intended'' mod!

@Heff Thank you!

So Amount to Add/Remove: is actually levels and not xp for stats! Skills, if you put 500 in the box, it adds/removes 500 to each skill's total xp in the skills section. However, Stats requires a variable (depending on what you set in the mod options) amount of exp for one level.

So let's say I put it as 200 in the mod options, and I put 4 in the box for Stats, it requires 800 (200 for 4) for the levels in total!

For your instance, since you put 200 in the box, it would have been 200 levels x (whatever you have for the mod options for each level in Stats)

Is there a key to getting - (Boost Stats - Permanently buff Move Speed, Work Speed, Psychic Sensitivity, and more) to level up? I seem to have missed a step. I added 200 XP to the Add/Remove, then hit the + and nothing seemed to happen.

This mod is Amazing, thank you for making it!

It wasn't immediately obvious to me that, to increase the passion level just click where the passion flames are.

@Vexacuz Not sure what Starbound is!

haha no worries, not a badger at all.

nope, no penalty! the cost is based on what level the skill is at right now. so if it drops from 15 to 14 and you wanna boost it back, you just pay the 14->15 Knowledge cost again - same as before. no memory of previous upgrades

Cheers! The mod looks like it would fit in any number of my small-party RPG fantasy modpacks, so I'm running through things to consider. Hopefully, you don't think I'm badgering you.

How does this work with forgetting skills: does this mod disable that mechanic?
For example, you boost a skill to 15 but then the skill drops to 14 again, how does spending Knowledge to boost it to 15 work? Does it still retain the cost increase, or does it rollback now that the skill is at 14 again?
