“It was clear there would be no truce this Christmas. Battle lines had been drawn around Freor Pass, and though both sides refused to spark the conflict, neither were willing to relinquish grip from such a strategic position. This meant if you were unlucky, you’d be sent out to patrol the area for any hostiles encroaching on allied airspace.

Due to the number of disappearances over the last century, and recent losses on both sides spurring tensions, superstitious airmen dreaded the task. I myself didn’t mind as, though I grew up around the settlers, I was a native, and this was my ancestral homeland. As such, I felt strangely at home in the pass; gliding alongside spirits that once walked below.

This did little to integrate me with my peers, but it’s not like I cared; the only reason I sided with the CRF over their adversaries was for their treatment of my people, and the joy that came from flying; even in such a prolific location. Little did I know what was about to transpire - the conflict that would arise as a result of such a journey. What I would discover, and where it would lead me…"
