Did you know that Cyclones, the designated anti-air unit, are outclassed at anti-air duties by the Crusader Tank? It's true, run the numbers. I wasn't happy with it, and from some thinking on that, I ended up basically tweaking the entire air balance to my tastes, all with two changes (and a small third):

- All air units gain 16.7% evasion but lose 2 armor (which provides 16.7% damage reduction) - it's not quite a net zero change because of AP and because of math, but it leads to my second point.
- Anti-air weapons ignore evasion of flying targets, much like how melee and flamers ignore cover. This is both to offset the above change and to offer additional depth to Human flyers' evasive maneuvers vs. chaff.

So far, happy with the changes. There's also a minor change - the Interceptor Missiles of a Phoenix Interceptor went down a tier of damage and armor piercing, both to keep their balance closer to intended and to act as a bit of a direct nerf as they were never properly balanced when they were changed to a free action (previously they had to be considerably better than the normal attack to have a point to them).
