Designation - USS Steamrunner NCC-53504-A - 2409 Retrofit for the original Steamrunner

The Steamrunner-class was a type of Federation heavy frigate starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century, becoming active in the year 2369.

By 2409, the Steamrunner-class was designated a "Blockade Runner Escort," and participated in the Federation-Klingon War. The Steamrunner-class was equipped with a Resonance Cascade Modulator device that prevented damage bleedthrough from the shields. The class was also retrofitted around this time.

This is the prototype retrofit - Commissioning 2409


Physical arrangement

Smaller than other ships of the period, the Steamrunner-class featured a near oval shaped saucer section, and a detached secondary hull, not completely unlike the design employed in the Oberth-class or California-class, but was joined at the aft to the ship's nacelles. The nacelles themselves were directly attached to the saucer section by large cowlings, which housed the Bussard collectors. The ship's deflector dish was housed in the rear, on the detached secondary hull, while the bridge module was inset between the Bussard cowlings. (Star Trek: First Contact, et al.)

Tactical systems
The Steamrunner-class ships featured Phaser arrays and Photon torpedo launchers typical of the period. (Star Trek: First Contact; Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Currently docked and LOCKED to Tucana Drydock. This does make it more responsive to move thru the ship. But you must UNDOCK to fly.

Hi @Leo, good question. I use Ctrl+Alt+E looking at the grid to export the model. It saves OBJ,PNG,MTL files to a folder it creates on the desktop for exported models. Some mods may break that, but most have worked so far. I bascially build the hull first, and export that.

To import it into sketchfab (free has 100MB limit), I resize/convert all png's using the a PNG conversion - https://picflow.com/convert/png-to-jpg . Then edit the MHT to replace .PNG with .JPG

Then hopefuly you can zip the OBJ, all PNG and MTL files to under 100MB. My Steamrunner OBJ was 487MB and zipped

@Micknator thanks, any specific modpack or just after vanilla blocks ? Basically no though, as that would be a full rebuild.
