The mod editor allows creating new buildings by merging together vanilla 3d models via "ModItemAttachments"
Yet, there's a problem with those: the attached parts are not shown during conctruction. This mod fixes that.

If I understand correctly, to mix them outside the game/mod editor you would need to do it in blender and for that you need the blender original files.
Still, in old SM you could add attachments editing the .ent files which are xml and refer the original models. Didn't look yet if this is still doable in SM:R or what may have changed. I did this for the old game, used mod editor attachments to visually put them together and once happy with the results copied the ofsets, scales, etc values in the ent xml. You would obtain indeed a more stable entity and won't need this mod either.

Hey luke,glad to see you on this workshop also,
I got a question if you got the willingness to give some short advice:
I have a mod that I would like to upload, also made using attachments to change the vanilla look for a building
but sometimes they bug out and revert to the vanilla look.
Would it be easy to merge those attachments and the vanilla building to make a new entity right in the editor so it never bugs out theoretically or do I need some other external tools.

FYI: the first (and currently the only one) mod that will benefit from this is "Water Dome" shown in the image
