Tired of watching battles unfold as statistical dice rolls?
Crusader Conflicts unites Crusader Kings III grand strategy with live, real-time tactical warfare through Total War: Attila. When armies clash in CK3, you may export the battle, command it firsthand on a generated Attila battlefield, then import the outcome directly back into your save — with deaths, captures, injuries & consequences permanently applied.

A community successor to Crusader Wars (GPL3 license) but massively expanded, rebuilt, and enhanced — Crusader Conflicts is the next evolution of CK3 battlefield integration.

Key Features

• Siege, Field, Coastal & River Battles – Fight across plains, forests, walls, beaches, and river crossings with terrain-based tactics.
• True Tactical Warfare – No auto-resolved numbers — you control formations, flanks, shock charges, siege assaults, and ambushes in real time.
• Meaningful Characters on the Field – Knights and nobles fight beside your troops with stats, traits, prowess, and risk of death affecting CK3 outcomes.
• Prisoners of War & Deadly Combat – Commanders, nobles, and knights may be captured or slain depending on how the battle unfolds. Permanently imported back into CK3.
• Persistent Outcomes – Casualties, routs, captures, experience — nothing is simulated. Victories and disasters permanently reshape the campaign map.
• Cultural Armies from the Atlantic to Japan – Supports rosters spanning Western Europe through Byzantium, the Steppes, India, China, Southeast Asia, Korea, and Japan.
• All Under Heaven DLC Supported – Play the entire Old World — dynasties from West to East can now meet on one battlefield.
• Dynamic Army Conversion – Converts CK3 regiments into authentic Attila unit rosters based on culture, tech level, or overhaul selected.
• Unlimited Custom Mappers – Create your own conversion packs for any setting, faction, total conversion, or DLC. No limit — fully open.
• Built-in Autofixer + Unit Replacer Tool – Customize rosters, replace models, re-balance units, and modify stats without touching files.
• Broad Mod Compatibility – Vanilla + major total conversions:
AGOT · The Fallen Eagle · Realms in Exile · All Under Heaven · and more.

If you believe war is more than numbers in a battle screen — you’re right.
This is the other half of history.

Requires Total War: Attila. (with Age of Charlemagne DLC)

My computer writes wills while looking at my two-million-strong Chinese army.

I am kinda curious though. How do you feel about the stance of the Crusader Wars team?
Your version seems way more compatible and flexible, so I'm glad it's out there, but they don't seem te agree on that.

@SmS Laurens I'm happy you were able to fix your issue. Yes copying the mappers from the CC-Mappers repo usually fixes the issue.

@Slugboi, thanks! I'll put it on the roadmap, as I'd have to make sure the file paths are handled correctly.

Yes Atilla and CK3 both work for linux. I have them both installed actually.
