Eagle Industries
Welcome to Eagle Industries, a startup company that brings you the best brand spanking new military hardware out there. If you're looking for an honest, environmentally responsible product; you've come to the right place!

Class description
Patrol boats (PB) are designed for local patrol duties and escorts. Being small in size and cheap in price, they can be built quickly and replaced just as easy. However, their small size limits weapons to mostly low calibre APS and small calibre missiles and torpedoes. With only light armour, they cannot take a beating and will rely on their small profile, stealthiness and mobility to survive.

The ship
The Triton II is a successor to the Triton class patrol boat. Performance reviews of the original Triton were comparable to other available ships, such as the Relentless, while there was a need for a bigger patrol vessel that could ward off larger threats. Triton II steps into that gap, being just slightly bigger than the original Triton, but carrying more than twice the firepower and moving at a much higher speed. She excels at hit and run tactics, engaging foes and forcing opponents to chase her. Her mobility allows her to avoid heavy shelling from CRAMs, while her offensive weaponry are sufficient to engage small vessels, submarines and aircraft. As such, she's a true alrounder that can be used for interdiction duties in friendly waters.

Basic stats:

Update v104.
Lowered propellor RPM from 180 to 165 (1.2 to 1.1). Speed is lowered from 35 to 33 m/s
Increased pitch response on the horizontal stabilizers.

@Squigee, thanks for your review. I altered the settings to accomodate. Vertical thrusters (other than to adress roll) aren't really my thing.
To be fair, I personally have the wave setting to 0.5 instead of 1 because I find the latter a bit absurd, so the stability issues were invisible to me. Thanks for pointing them out :)

Tends to be a bit unstable in anything other than perfectly flat calm seas, Putting 2 half-power thrusters in the bow facing down to pitch the ship back into the water fixes this, Also you can get a little bit more speed out of the props if you tweak the prop motors, 750 power and 2 rpm factor is giving 21k thrust at 180 rpm, Otherwise this is an excellent little craft.

Many thanks for your kind words! Glad you enjoy the collection :) I'm working through updating most of the ships these days, working from page 4 to 1... So be sure to grab the updated vessels soon :)
