If you did it how you described, I would be really pleased, so please do that if you have the time!
I wouldn't be able to make you get both French and English events as country specific events are tied to your tag and while certain things, like advances, check for both your current and past tags, events do not, they just check for your current tag.
I would probably make it a formable via event though, since then I don't have to deal with the mess of giving you back your own tag after forming a country, since a formable needs a unique tag and that tag can't be a tag that already exists, this is why you don't see the Rûm formable in vanilla until the Ottomans no longer exist because they both have the TUR tag.
As ahistorical as it's name is, getting english and french events like you do for others, alongside the PURPLE would be a huge draw for me.
