Research Facility - POI
Overview
A well fortified and heavily guarded compound in the heart of Altis, the research facility is built around a single off-limits dome with only one way in and out. The POI features a North and South compound, the latter of which can be accessed via the skybridge connecting to the North compound, or via helicopter insert on the roof. Tunnel scripts are pre-loaded in this POI and work in multiplayer.

What are POIs?
A POI is a scriptable composition that loads deformations, simple objects, and units into a specific location. Unlike regular comps, POIs only spawn where they were built and can support many more objects than standard comps. See Location section for where this POI spawns.

Requirements

This composition requires the setting:
zeusCompositionScriptLevel=2

Make sure this is active for the script to execute properly!
How to Use
  • Load Zeus and open the Compositions menu.
  • Place the "Research Facility - POI" on the map. Wait for loading to complete.
  • Fly (in Zeus camera) to the marked location to view or interact with the POI.

I think I understand what you mean. I was meaning for a mission on another map which from your explanation I think is currently not possible.

Is there any plan to release these as compositions for mission makers? I understand these were focused on zeus, but they are really cool and from the comments(on this one and the others) it seems like a lot of people would love to use them in Eden.

@SpaceGhost Depending on your question if you mean after you spawn it will you be able to save the objects to a new composition, no unfortunately that won't work. If you mean are you able to save the loading script in your comp so it always loads when you place the mission, you could place the helipad object this composition provides in your composition and it will load with your mission.

Oh, wild. If I spawn it there, would I be able to export/save it as a composition by chance?

I'm building a a custom mission for my friends and these locations are perfect for it.

@SpaceGhost Unfortunately not, this is a scripted comp meaning you can only place it in a live zeus session and it will only spawn where it's marked on the map above

Excuse my noob question, but we can place this in eden as well just like a normal composition, right?
