Fortified Pyramid Ambition With Indoor Rhib Dock

This is an ambitious pyramid base that I built on a PVE Community Server
[AU] RustEZ Pure PvE No Upkeep

It is 14x14.
The location it was built on is shown on the map image for reference on the location that I used (yes I drowned once and starved another ;) .

The shoreline in this location would not allow me to fully reach under the waterline with the roof pieces. In hindsight I would have went down the beach a few more paces but i was just happy the gate was the right level above the waterline and did not want to be too far from the fresh water in the river mouth and this base straddles both fresh and salt.. I should check that beforehand next time.
What I did was run along the water and test-place the gate before starting this build. Place gate (if you can afford to) and line up the four foundations along the inside of the gate. smash the two middle ones and smash the gate. Then continue the build without the gate. Be sure to have your starting foundations at least halfway above the waterline, preferably as high as possible to account for the slope going inland otherwise you will end up half stepping your foundations up the incline of the land.

RustEZ Community Servers have a hammer tool that you can buy that lets you smash things and recover them :)
You could visit their server to test these things out.

I used some half height foundations along the waterline to get this correct, using half walls to bring the floor up to meet the rest of the construction.

This has a lot of space to play with. included are just planter and main core storage areas.
This isn't an easy build and takes a quarter million stone if it were all stone.. Included in the screen shots are the build and upkeep costs.
You may have to reposition the gate a time or two to get it correct so be sure that you have spare gates and be prepared to wait for the debris timer.

Image #3 shows the two ceiling tiles that you need to NOT be there when you place the gate, if you placed it properly you should be able to place and upgrade those after the gate is in, If you can't this means that your gate it too far into the base. If you fail to get them in there's barb wire to stop intruders anyway.
Build everything and upgrade everything BUT the 2 ceiling tiles before you place the gate.
I found that I had to upgrade all my connected parts beforehand otherwise Rust sometimes won't let you.

There's plenty of space for honeycombing if you were to build it on a PVP server, however the upkeep is intense.
When trying to build on a pvp server, you might want to build a foundation wall at least 2 tiles outside away from the gate occupied tiles as you're placing the gate.. Knock out the two foundations that you had plugging the gate hole and bob's your Uncle.

The pinnacle cap on top looks great with lights hidden inside it =)
I planned to build mini step pyramid satellites to place my wind power and furnaces all Giza-like but only had a couple days to build this before wipe so only built a shell. If I build and play this base I'll be sure to upload a pic of my finished base for you.
