I was a minister of the celestial empire of china. The heir I tried was either a kid or a young adult with no title.
As for the option of inheritance, I didn't see any. Was there an option??
Btw, I tried just now as a 'landed king' of the celestial empire. It worked; no inheritance before the former character died.,
I have one question though - If I designate an heir, play as him without inheriting, the former me won't designate others as heir, right? It would be a waste if the inheritance goes else where.
The goal I have in mind is playing as a younger one while the old one is alive, so that I can rank up my merit and inherit the same circuit when the old guy passes away.
Chances are it simply puts the game in an invalid state. There're a thousand ways a randomly triggered inheritance could play out and it probably is doing something weird for your particular situation, so sorry if that's the case.
If you can give me more details though then it might help me fix it, specifically
- What kind of title did your character hold when you took the decision
- What kind of title did your heir hold when you took the decision
- Did you select the option to trigger inheritance, or to play as the heir without triggering inheritance?
I tried to do that on a mod but never succeed lol
