The Klondike Gold Rush

It is 1896 and you have used up half you cash to travel to Dawson City, the "Paris" of the North, due to rumors of gold found in the Yukon. Now you can use your remaining dollars to buy some food and the equipment needed to pan for gold in one of the rivers. OR you could get a job in Dawson City and make money off the prospectors. After all they need camping gear and canned goods and warm clothes and all kinds of supplies. Why kill yourself doing all the hard work when you could get a easy job and let the prospectors bring the gold dust to you?
