Rush Flowerpot

描述


Codename Flowerpot is a map developed by me around a new gamemode i made for the map called Rush.

Rush is a linear, objective-based mode where attackers try to advance through the map by destroying stationary objectives by arming and exploding them, while defenders try to hold them off, originating from Battlefield Bad Company ( 2008 ).
I attempted to recreate Rush in Team Fortress 2 in the ways TF2 works, as it was released a year prior to Bad Company with its own Defend and Attack gamemode.

The initial build of this map was developed in 3 days.


The Gamemode is about Attacking stations across the map as Blu, while Red attempts to defend them. The Blu team will have to arm them with bombs and destroy them in order to fully capture the area, while the Red team can disarm the bombs to retain the stations

Upon the start of the game there is a 60sec warmup time, where the Blu team can prepare to defend against the Blu Team. When the warmup is over, a 5min timer is set where the Red team has to defend from the Blu team, who's goal is to destroy the Communication Stations layered around the map.

All of Blu can arm the bomb, its just that when the first player who stands near the bomb arms it, and another player is around to do the same, they contiune the arming process even if the original player died.



This is the same for Red who disarms the bombs on the stations, if the player who first started to disarm the bombs died while disarming, and another player was also near the disarming process, that contiunes as long as another player stands in the trigger vicinity

When armed, the stations will play an alarm to tell players that the bombs have been armed on one of the stations, and the icon above the station changes to a bomb sized icon. If there's less than 10 seconds left before the stations explode, a sped up version of the alarms will play

In order to win as BLU, you must fully destroy all Communication stations marked on the Hud and with the Icons on the map. The two first Communication stations must be destroyed, before you can destroy the last two
In order to win as RED, you must defend and prevent the Communication Stations marked on the Hud and with icons on the map from being destroyed, while you wait for a countdown of 5min to end


The First map of the Rush Gamemode, set in a Granary Distribution Center not so far from the actual Granery map, the Announcer Wendel "The Dasterdly Duke" plots the Blu team to destroy a few communication stations scattered around the map, being the stations that keeps the control points alive with power, such as their holograms, with the objective to arm them with bombs and detonate them, while he makes the Red team defend the stations and disarm them incase they are armed.

i will not reccomend using copyright music over workshop material even for trailers, this can be potential cause some problems in the future if you get the map accepted.
