Mojave Express – Courier Division

Welcome to the Mojave Express — a massive fully prototypical and realistically operational rail, road, and air network spanning Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Tehachapi Pass, and the Port of Long Beach. This is a massive and major top to bottom update to my NVAZUT23 layout. This layout and Nevada Arizona Utah 2023 were/are completely overhauled, optimized, updated, and modernized version of the original 2018 Nevada Arizona Utah layout created by DeathRowTull. Credit goes to DeathRowTull for the original Nevada Arizona Utah. It’s the perfect map to build on and just as much effort went into NV AZ UT 23 and this update.

Built for serious, real world multiplayer operations and casual solo adventure, this layout blends realistic freight logistics and gorgeous rail fanning with open-world exploration. Literally every rail, road, and air asset has a purpose and fits into this self contained world. The most complete and functional road network of any layout to date.

MULTIPLAYER READY. 2-8 Players (system dependent)

VR OPTIMIZED

RAIL OPERATIONS: You spawn in the crew room. Review the welcome board and operating rules

1. Continuous dual-track mainline for freight and passenger operations

2. Classification yard in Tucson and fully functional yards in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City

3. Working intermodal terminals and industries. All the new loading and unloading props are used to the maximum extent.

4. Port of Long Beach: Trains arrive/depart UP intermodal terminal. Full stack car and autorack loading/unloading AND full road service to include ship side. Harbor Rail manages on pier (ship side) loading/unloading. Mojave Express exports scrap metal and junk cars, flour/grains, coal/copper

5. Other Industries. Credit to all modders!! This would not be possible without so many quality props to use.
Food processor, corn fields, citrus grower, feed mill, cement plant, power plants in each city, oil refinery, coal and copper mine, gypsum mine, airport fuel depots, Hughes Heavy Industries, Scrappy’s Auto Salvage, lots more!!!

6. Structured Job Boards and special missions. Each city has its own Yardmaster Job Board and realistic industry switching tasks

7. AIR ROUTE between Las Vegas and Tucson with 2 fully operational airports. Multiple other air routes

8. ROAD NETWORK. Spans entire map for continuous running. Numerous working freight terminals.

9. EXPLORATION. Scenic helicopter tours, F1 races, Grand Canyon excursions, Las Vegas excitement, and lots more

NOTES: For all practical purposes the layout is finished but there are just a couple updates coming as I finish the job boards over the next couple weeks. The layout will be staged to match the job boards. Please provide feedback. System as tested: 7800x3d, RTX3080, 32gb DDR5
