Overview
This mod aims to restore the map to its pre-AUH borders while also removing regions that, in my opinion for the average playthrough, only add unnecessary bloat and consume system resources without enhancing gameplay.

Removed Regions
The mod completely removes the following empires and all their provinces from the map:
Mali, Guinea, Kanem-Bornu, Ajuuraan, Deccan, Bengal, Burma, Cambodia, Malaysia, Nusantara, China, Korea, Japan, Manchuria, and Amur.

Disclaimer

1. Because provinces have been removed, certain religions may have holy sites located in now-null provinces. I advise against playing those religions, as their bonuses will be inaccessible.

2. This is my first modding project, so bug fixes and updates may take some time. I apologize.

FAQ

Q: How much have you tested the mod?
A: I’ve tested roughly 100 in-game years across three different start dates. No crashes or major issues have been observed.

Q: How compatible is the mod?
A: It’s highly unlikely to be compatible with any mod that alters the map. For other mods, compatibility should generally be fine. Feel free to experiment.

Q: Does Genghis Khan spawn and function properly?
A: Untested in full runs, but during my short 1178 test he worked as expected.

Q: Why did you keep certain regions? (such as Ethiopia or Western India)
A: I kept regions such as Ethiopia and the western third of India because they felt relevant enough. If not as a potential playthrough location then as a nice place to expand into for an Egypt/Persia player.

Q: Would you consider further map edits?
A: Unlikely. I’m personally satisfied with the current version, but if there’s enough community interest or feedback, I may consider additional changes.

@Bedivere It's not hard as it is tedious if you were to do it by hand. You can take a look at the files I've modified. It's mostly just deleting unwanted titles. Though the most important part is labeling the deleted titles' provinces as impassable terrain so they don't get assigned to england at the start.

How easy is it to remove regions? I've got a little bit of experience modding, but mostly limited to creating new cultures, & adding characters to history & to the map, but I'm looking to make some slight adjustments to the map, mostly going back to pre-AUH size.

@cnkcankaya I don't really know how this mod could lead to that. It only touches files related to titles, provinces, bookmarks, and decisions related to east asia. I don't think I can help.

Great mod! Thank you so much. I just realize one thing, every female character in my game hold a stick in their hands. This mod is the only difference between my late and current game.

@Alma_Negra I haven't looked over them, so I have no idea if they would work. Right now I am content without them.

@BolerSayright There are other smaller map mods that also remove the steppes and india completely. Maybe look into them. Before the AUH update I would use MPE Lite if I wanted a completely Europe + ME focused campaign.

If possible, could you please remove these areas as well?
e_mongolia、e_tartaria、e_siberia
k_oghuz_il、k_syr_darya、k_hontan
And India only retains：
k_kashmir、k_punjab、k_sindh
Or remove India.
When I play the game, my main goal is usually to rebuild the Roman Empire. Sometimes, I also keep the old rival of the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire.

Well I totally get what you mean, and this really isn't a mod for India oriented playthrough, just wanted to add it feels really weird leaving them out. E_Bengal has 2 or even 3 other kingdom titles. (if including k_gondwana who imo should be also part of e_Rajastan) but those 2 mentioned always were part of one single north indian empire, which most powers dominating northern India expanded into. I didn't mention assam and odisha since they very well resisted invasions throughout the history. I was just giving my feedback and suggestions.

Imo a Europe centric map should include bengal and bihar given they were also conquered by ghurids. Rest of India was kinda insulated from eurasian affairs.
