Volvo N.C Palatine I - G.M.Buses O.W.W

In 1991/1992 G.M.Buses placed an order for 25 Northern Counties Palatine Is in 4 batches, these were 10 Dennis Dominators, 5 Scania N113s, 8 Volvo D10M Citibuses/Palatine Is and 2 special Wheelchair accessible Volvo D10Ms.

Represented is one of GMB's Volvo D10M examples, H701 - 708 GVM, the two Wheelchair lift fitted examples being J709/10 ONF.

There are some innacuracies due to the vehicle actually being a Volvo Olympian, not a D10M, but ya know.

Livery presented is GMB's Orange, White and Whortleberry livery.

These buses often found themselves on the 400/401 Trans-Lancs Express service which, during 1993 operated between Bolton - Stockport via Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Ashton (400) and Bolton - Stockport via Bury, Middleton, Oldham, Ashton, Hyde and Stockport (401) with 400s running between Bolton - Manchester Airport via Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Ashton, Stockport, Gatley and Wythenshawe during Summer Sundays.
