nullgrym's Ultimate DSOD Sniper Build With Advice
由 nullgrym 制作
Very formidable build with my advice on how to play with it below.

Whatever your playstyle, you will pick it up fast and clear the map like it's normal difficulty.

Carry any pub lobby with this build, without needing to tryhard or rely on OP junk.

Background

music for the guide like its old school myspace

I play with Full Speed Swarm by TdlQ[pdmods-arc.berigora.net] so I needed a build that can get rid of lots of cops fast.

I enjoy being long-winded but bear with me it will be worth it. Nothing stops you from just scrolling through to see the skills and weapon mods, though. If you know what you are doing then I'm not going to stop you, I hope you at least stay for the memes for a chuckle, though.

To not get overwhelmed on DSOD I need lots of kills, sustainably, even on long heists to get peace of mind. This means one tapping heads, and staying alive without disposables like FAKs, as they run out eventually. I want a build that will last forever in skilled hands without cheesing with overpowered garbage that removes the fun from the game. This is what I came up with.

Snipers are the best at clearing rooms because of grazed ace. You can one tap heads with assault riifles but grazed removes the time required aiming from one head to another, letting you clear more enemies in less time which gives them fewer opportunities to shoot back at you or your rag tag team of bank robbers.

This build uses anarchist for it's sustain, as well as berserker in order to allow the North Star to hit it's breakpoint, so if you are new to this I would suggest playing on lower difficulties first.

If you are experienced with anarchist, be aware that the slower rate of fire and fewer potentials to spam headshots means you can't regen armour as quickly and effortlessly as a typical rifle build. You will get used to this, and I believe it's a irrelevant because the killing potential outweighs the survivability. The slow fire rate raises the skill required to use the build, because you need better timing.

Taking this into account you are very fragile, and getting caught out can be very tense so I would recommend playing consciously, defensively, and not YOLOing.
So if someone died in the open, let them learn their lesson in custody. You aren't hacker that can stunlock half the map for 8 seconds to pick someone up.

You need to use anarchist to it's maximum to get the most out of this deck, it requires conscious play where you can risk assess which does mean there's a skill curve to learn before it becomes a Godlike deck. No other build let's you play this aggressive all the time.

If we use MMORPG terms, this build is the DPS of the team. Fragile and dealing huge damage. You don't have jokers to tank, or inspire aid to heal, so your contribution comes from keeping the cops from overwhelming your team.

When others are moving bags, focus on the cops to keep your team safe. Clear the area when someone goes down so someone else can pick them up. Hold down the chokepoint so your friends have fewer spawn points to deal with. Pick off specials from a distance before they become a problem. Your contribution is very important to keep the team up and active.

Given all of this, you can also easily solo with no AI heists as long as you don't get hit, and if you want to solo then use FAKs (for local revive) instead of ammo and you'll do just fine.

On long heists like overdrill, I often get over 1200 kills without even trying. If you are in your element, the game should feel as boring as stealth for your team because they can't find anyone to kill. This build is insanely powerful in the right hands

For people ready to criticise: I'll happy hear everything you have to say, but my patience is limited for people that are not ready to hear my perspective.

NOTE: I don't use jokers because I feel they take away from the game, if you want them then make your own build. I have no interest in using them or encouraging people to use them. It's a crutch that prevents people from having full mastery of the game. Inspire ace and jokers are good for people new to DSOD who need them, but I don't like them in my lobbies.

Given all of that, give me as much criticism as possible. i love discussing the game.

So you can do whatever you want with the ones without asterix, I just picked the ones I like the best. I'd recommend using variable scopes to make the guns prettier, I have the combo because it's easier for me to use.

The exclusive sets for the Amaroq prevent you from using the speedbolt which is critical for dozer killing so they're not very useful. The badlands ammo is not necessary because we barely benefit from an extra 7 bullets because the pickup is so good. The damage from the dragonlore doesn't matter and it reduces max ammo so it's pointless. But don't let me stop your aesthetical preferences.

Note on the TIWAZ suppressor
It's a pain in the dallas to get, I did it by going on no mercy with the hydra mutator set on 4, and used the mod Full Speed Swarm by TdlQ[pdmods-arc.berigora.net] with its own mutator that makes it spawn tons and tons of enemies. I got it in about 30 minutes from just spamming fire.

Our build works great to get the silencer because the high armour and all our armour stacking abilities makes you invincible on normal difficulty. Make sure to not use graze skill because it disables the side job that unlocks it. You can use the build without the silencer, but you lose out on a lot of stats so I'd really recommend doing it or maybe looking around for a side job completer mod friend to motivate you through crappy grindy achievements.

Advice and thoughts
This section is here if you want more than just the skills above, it's a lot of general information and my thoughts so take it as optional, feel free to skim over this - I'd recommend reading if you are new to anything in the build though, just read the section you feel you would get something from.

All statistics used are in full zerk (80%+) in DSOD, unless otherwise listed.

Don't use the thanatos bad firerate means it's slower at killing dozers than the Amaroq.

Anarchist:

The whole idea of anarchist is to always block with armour, as you cannot take any damage to your health or you will go down instantly. this means that snipers can and will one shot you, but your superior reaction times and situational awareness will keep that from happening, at least in theory.

Every shot you take gives you a 0.35 second grace period where you are immune, as long as you don't take a shot that does more damage than the first one. This hit will reset the counter and make you take the higher damage on top. If you take a 70dmg shot, then a 200dmg shot, you will take damage from both shots and this will break your armour. You have 0.35 seconds to hide before you take more damage, and wait 2 seconds for your armour to regen.

As long as you have even 1 armour, all shots* can only lower your armour to 0, which means as long as you always have a little armour you will never take damage.
We get 10 armour base from the suit every 2 sec
We get 10 armour from doing damage every 1.5 sec
We get 25 armour from headshots every 2 sec

All of these are on their own independent timers, so as long as you are doing some damage you will be restoring armour.

This gives us 3 ways to stay out of 0 armour, with very short cooldowns - as long as you regain armour rapidly after it breaks. You can't run in the open but you can sustainably peek out and delete everyone in the room.

The 205 armour means you can take at least 2 shots before your armour breaks. We are using the suit which regens very quickly, and that allows you to keep peeking. The max damage shot outside of a sniper rifle is 225, which means you can tank two regular shots before needing to do damage. Consider full armour as a bonus, don't wait for it to build as it takes forever.

We have 25% damage reduction from frenzy aced, which means all incoming damage is reduced. So those 225 shots are actually 169 damage each. A sniper shot is 180 damage. This means we can even tank a sniper shot at 80% zerk, but this will only save you when you more than 75% of your armour - so you need to be careful.

In my opinion anarchist is the strongest perk deck in the game. It's kingpin lite in all the best ways, it's passive so you can play around it, and so there's no real downtime allow you to keep killing. The easiest way to not go down is to kill all the cops. Hacker/stoic is braindead, and kingpin requires you to pick moments to use it, which means you are weak when not using it.

Anarchist lets you keep pressure on the cops by taking literally all the aggro in the room and surviving for a few seconds, just enough to clear them before you need to hide. Keep in mind when you are not doing damage you are made of paper (objectives, revives, etc).

Watch some youtube videos on anarchist because it will help you a ton to learn how to use it.

Berserker:
Critical to make this build super easy to use, as it allows you to one tap all generic enemies so you can clean rooms like henry the hoover. There are multiple resources online on how to trigger it, but you must equip the molotov in your throwable slot, and in the beginning of each heist you throw it at your feet and wait until you have as little HP as possible, without letting yourself go down.

I'd recommend looking at videos and using a map like Proving Grounds by Lawsfercapcake?[modworkshop.net] in order to get a feel for it, to save yourself from embarrassment in pubs when you inevitably go down to your own molly. you need at least 65% damage boost to one shot tans, which is 2 damage ticks from the molly.
It's not the end of the world if you are at max health as tans become two shottable, but do it as soon as you can. Let your team know so they protect you. At worst you go down and you'll be zerking when they pick you up.

We need 19 damage ticks in total. So at the beginning of each heist throw a molly, and count 19 damage ticks, then run out of the molly. This lets us one shot tans in the head with the North Star, allows you wipe rooms with clicking a few heads. You will only need to molly again if you use a med bag.

The Build:
We have taken drill skills, and this is because I'm assuming you won't have to pick up your team from the open. If you are playing in pubs or with friends that are learning, you have 3 spare points to put into combat medic and painkillers to give them a fighting chance. Personally I don't risk getting downed to pick up others if I can avoid it, so rarely do medic skills outweigh the benefit of faster drills.
You can take off movement skills/silencer to get max drills but the weapons become a bit unwieldy. I'd rather have a minute longer objective with guns that prints headshots through the whole heist instead. But the world is your medic bag.

The great thing about the build is that it can handle any volume of any enemies at any range. The Amaroq can 5 shot a minigun dozer given all shots land on the visor, and the North Star one taps tans in the dome. Avoid shooting visor up dozers with the North Star because it's too weak. Be aware that the gun swap time is quite slow.

If you get 2 headshots in an 8 second window (all the time) it replenishes 1 round. This resets as soon as you trigger it. So the 40 total ammo capacity effectively is 60 if you land all the shots. Pair this with graze melting rooms and the good pickup, and you can comfortably snipe at a distance without feeling like it's a waste of ammo. The ammo pickup is so good you won't get mad when someone steals all your boxes, even.

On top of that, we are bringing ammo which personally I rarely need to use besides real dug in trench warfare. But, this does allow you to miss lots of shots as you learn to one tap everyone - you can take doc bags instead if you struggle more with learning anarchist.

Ammo is great because it gives you peace of mind, you can't run out to pick up ammo easily like a kingpin or hacker. Anarchist let's you easily fight through the room, but not run through it.

Sniping
Vary it up, use the Amaroq to kill tans. The pickup is great and you get more ammo when you do your ammo runs, meaning you can shoot for longer without needing to collect ammo.
You have 40 shots before you need to run out for ammo, and it takes a lot longer than you'd expect to run out because each shot kills a few.

2 graze headshots on 5 tans with the Star cost you 1 bullet, and you will pickup a total of 12.5 rounds from their 5 boxes. 3.5 for the Amaroq and 9 for the North Star. Killing 5 enemies is enough ammo to deal with a dozer, and 9 more tans on top, from just those 5 boxes.

You can see how this build is insanely ammo efficient. Each box picked up is 0.8 rounds for the Amaroq, and 1.7 for the Star.

Damage
You can one tap all non special enemies in the game with both weapons. Amaroq can one tap all specials excluding the dozer. North Star requires two taps for specials aside from the dozers.

When it comes to dozers, the Amaroq 4 shots minigun dozers (48k HP) and we have the skill that makes all specials take 50% more damage at 10 meters or more distance, meaning it will take fewer if they're further away. I've even 2 shot dozers before. This build turns all enemies into a joke.

Closing
This build can do almost everything, and primarily exists to allow you a chill experience where you can snipe a few enemies, talk with your friends - and not feel overwhelming pressure. This build will carry you through DSOD, and let you enjoy your time too.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my guide. Please give me any suggestions, comments, criticism, etc below.

Thanks for checking out the guide!

Hi again, Boom.
Your messages are toxic. I will not allow you to post anymore in this section. Your comments have added no value to the discussion and clearly you are not here to spread anything positive or useful.

if you don't like the guide, give it a dislike and move on. I don't need to hear how you know everything and you're better than everyone. If you need to bully people in a steam guide comment section then get a grip.

It's big of you to say I'm gatekeeping when the first thing you did was attack me on my hours and playstyle. You didn't even read the guide, you just scrolled down to the pictures and left me hatemail.

This comment section has these following purposes:
-Share knowledge
-Have a nice atmosphere

If you can't abide by these rules I will enforce, then you won't be a part of the discussion.
Boomshakalaka034 11 月 19 日 上午 3:38
Nope, the author is just a typical gatekeeper who tells people they are garbage because they don't play how he plays ( inspire and converts bit). While regurgitating a sniper build you can find 100 plus times on any dsod guide. Granted he probably is trolling but pretty typical of Anarchist kpm mains with how he talks.
B〄F Altonator 11 月 19 日 上午 3:23
I think people are missing the authors point a little. He took other skills than medic skills because this build operates under the assumption that your team mates can handle themselves.
If you don't go down much / at all on a heist, why take medic stuff?

Not trying to start a flame war or anything, everyone has different skill levels. I don't think medic skills are a crutch but if you're doing no down runs then they are pretty much wasted points.
Boomshakalaka034 11 月 19 日 上午 2:58
And yes, before you criticise me on not having more achievements due to my hours,go ahead. But i'm not trying to tell people how they play is garbage because they don't play like you with a sniper guide that you could find from 100 other dsod guides.
Boomshakalaka034 11 月 19 日 上午 2:51
165 hours on Payday 2....no gameplay on DSOD with his build, tries to gatekeep with how people play (especiallly the jokers and inspire bit). Not a fan of Pink but i don't disagree with his take on you.
nullgrym  [作者] 11 月 19 日 上午 12:20
Hi Pink,
I will not be replying to you after this message.

I don't take anyone's content. They get the views.

No build is truly original. I gave credit when I didn't have to. I talked with BABO! in this comment section, and you can see how each build is for a different playstyle.

The comic relief is nice to keep people engaged, I don't want people to get bored.

"just worse with expectations designed to disappoint" this didn't make sense but I know what you are getting at. You get jealous when other people make guides. You think that positivity should be yours, so you try to discredit me and my guide.

Then to prove my point, you quote me and I literally didn't say any of it. I literally say the opposite of what you think I said.

My opinion on jokers and inspire is valid. They are crutches used by players who aren't willing to learn the mechanics of the game, so they have to waste skill points on crap that's not needed.
PinkL3m0n4d3 11 月 18 日 下午 2:28
Listen, I want to be nice, but this is atrocious. Not only do you take others' content from videos that you didn't make but the build you "made" is also modified taken and worse. This is low effort. Why have meme videos when you already can't be taken seriously? You can't make up your mind with what this is supposed to be. This build isn't "made with skill in mind" it's just worse with expectations designed to disappoint. Mistakes from "heists like overdrill DPS being the only thing that matters, drill skills are better compared to overall survivability, that reviving doesn't matter, to the statements about jokers and inspire" when you can't even optimally build for anarchist suit. Why hate the thanatos smg combo or similar combos? This was a horrible choice, making the skills worse when you can run higher DPS ROF capabilities with bulletstorm, unseen strike, joker, etc... for one weapon.
nullgrym  [作者] 11 月 13 日 下午 11:36
Hi Boom,

That's fair criticism that deserves to be addressed.

The build is skill based which is why I dedicated a whole section to introduce new players.
You can take off the snipers, graze, and zerk - and it would still be 'OP' in the right hands.

All of those things make the build fun to play but are not required. Feel free to spend those 40 skill points somewhere else.

Thanks, buddy.
Boomshakalaka034 11 月 13 日 下午 12:26
Claims in his guide to "not rely on OP junk". Build is a double sniper with graze with zerk. Ok buddy

Message starts here!

Regarding your first message - exactly. Glad it helped!

Now, for the second message, let’s cover the playstyle and flow of Anarchist. Check the bold text for key points. Also, the “Payday 2: How to Anarchist” video I linked gives a great overview.

Anarchist in Open Maps

Open maps don’t change the basics, but Anarchist relies more on its mechanics to survive. Open maps are hard for any build - Anarchist included - but outside of Stoic, it’s one of the best for survivability.

Other decks have cooldowns or downtime where you must hide and wait. Anarchist doesn’t. You can stay in the fight and keep pushing objectives.

Armourer is a big beer stein - slow to empty, slow to refill.
Anarchist is a shot glass - fast to empty, but quick to refill.

Your goal is to keep that shot glass full by staying active and dealing damage.
