HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

"The mansion is still haunted, they lied about everything. Nothing matters anymore. There is still truth to be revealed. We won't stop until the evil spirits are destroyed. They call us crazy, delusional, we don't care. We won't stop searching."

Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you... gm_hide_academy!

MAP IS A CONTINUATION OF GM_HIDE_ASSEMBLY.

*THIS IS A CHALLENGING HORROR MAP*
This is not your everyday horror map. If you think for one second this is an easy ride, it's not. The map is VERY unpredictable. One of the jumpscares actually made me hit my knee on my desk so hard I had to stop playing for a bit.

1-4 players recommended. If you start the map on challenge mode, you get a secret ending. (Go to the back of the spawn area to activate!)

You play as a retired government agent. The details aren't clear on your background, but you've decided to call quits in your journey. Your work hasn't been transparent, and your family has been giving you a hard time. For the last decade, this mysterious hidden "Underground Mansion" has caught attention in news streams and is now becoming an increasing conspiracy. Residents report strange pulsating sensations in their dreams. Some, describe seeing a wooded 1950's mansion. The mansion is described with dark oak walls, Victorian-style decor, and rich orange lighting. The strangest part is, everybody describes seeing the same mansion.

Recently, A former colleague of yours reaches out to you via email. He describes his work for the government as "shady" and wants out. His research hit a dead end. He no longer wants to work for the government. You decide to give him a call, but no answer. You try calling him again. The call goes to voicemail. This time you trace the call, and find out it's coming from a power distribution facility.

You suspect the worst, so you get in your car and arrive three days later. The power facility is right in front of a huge forest with no civilization. You hop the fence and go looking for him. With each step you take, the air is colder, and you feel your body start to vibrate. These woods feel off, and you know something isn't right. With everything in your gut telling you to turn around and go back, you decide proceed anyway...


HOW TO PLAY


🌙 You will need to start the map by pressing the button at the beginning of the level. Once you walk through the woods, you should end up in the mansion. You'll need to click 'E' on the power box over in the corner. A voiceover will come on telling you how to play.

🌙 Now, you must go through the hallways with the ghost detector. You need to find keys to unlock doors. The further you go, the harder it will get. Keep an eye out for glowing icons and indicators - you can collect upgrades and a map of the mansion.

🌙 Unlock 50 doors, including the sanctuary. With all three fireplaces lit, the upstairs will unlock in the ballroom. You will need to grab the key up there to unlock the chest in the sanctuary. The chest provides a code to the heavy metal door, which once you unlock, you will find the mansion key and escape the mansion.

===Monsters===

THE GHOST 👻

The ghost detector will pick this entity up. The ghost roams the entire map, and will cause the ghost detector to blink if you are close. The only place you are safe from the ghost is the lab.

SPIDER 🌩

The spider is a pesky little creature - scary too! The spider will spawn at a random time during the map. If you keep touching the spider and letting it crawl on you, it will keep getting bigger in stages, until it is big enough to become dangerous. A web can also spawn on the lab entry, alerting the spider and making it go faster.

PENNYWISE 🎁

Pennywise has made a return from gm_hide_assembly. The clown roams the hallways at random and can have dire consequences if interacted with. You will be teleported to a room with three doors to choose from. Choose the right door, and you will be free, choose the wrong one, and it can be consequential.

SHARK ✨

The shark can spawn during the night time or when the map starts becoming angry. You'll know the shark has spawned because you can hear an oscillating gurgle sound in the hallways. If the shark approaches you, it will attack, so keep your distance.

ACADEMY MONSTER 🚧

The academy monster is a black, wendigo-like monster that enters the academy at a certain point in the level. You will notice this monster spawns in the sanctuary, making heavy, mechanical, synth noises. This is one of the most terrifying monsters in the whole academy. It will spawn at random, and eventually despawn on its own.

THE LANDRID 🐙

The Landrid is a bounding, dark substance that surrounds you. It alerts all entities to circle your position, blocking off all entries to the lab and saferooms. You will know the Landrid activates because a dark root-like structure will appear on your screen. The best thing to do is to run and don't stay in the same position.

CORRUPTION 🎄

A rare, deep-state the map can go into under heavy loads of failure. You will know you have hit the corruption after a christmas tree appears in the ballroom. Another way to know is if your screen starts fading. If this happens for too long, you will be sent to the corrupt mansion.

CORRUPT MANSION

This is an upside-down version of the mansion. It is a voided, empty, silent version of the mansion you currently play on with dust balls floating around and a static monster that can spawn. This mansion is the worst location in the whole map. If you spawn here, be patient and you will be teleported back. Do not go wandering

SLEEP PARALYSIS

This is a rare location a player can be teleported to - if you end up here, you cannot move. You need to let the episode complete on its own and don't shake your screen too much. It's noisy and fearsome, but there is no jumpscare. The episode will last 1-2 minutes.

Once again, I won't put the world before my faith. A lot of the features in this map draw parallels to real life. You may notice some of the scares this map has are similar to the hardships life brings. I will say it again, because it's important: I want you to be scared playing this map, but I also don't want you to feel like you have to play, it's perfectly understandable. Everything is okay and just don't let anyone stop you from knowing the truth! ✞✞ :)

Can we get a sandbox version of this map? i mean, it is hell to record a video about this map to showcase anything, like not just playtrough.

@Flowey extreme is the same as challenge mode. Theres also an easy, medium, and hard that were never implemented. hard just become normal
