April 28, 1967 - Near Khe Sanh

The NVA have occupied several hills north of the Khe Sanh base. Marines of the 3rd Regiment have been ordered to clear the NVA from their entrenched positions. After capturing Hill 700, some Marines moved on to take Hill 861 where they meet strong enemy resistance. Men of the 3rd Battalion have spent the last 4 days trying to capture Hill 861. 2/3 have been brought in to relieve the battered 3rd Battalion and continue their assault on the hill after a heavy bombardment on the 27th and 28th of April. Now is the time for the Marines of 2nd Battalion to move up the hill and eliminate any survivors.
