Yin-Yin Roar of the Jade Sea compability patch

描述
Despite the title, it's actually about Jade Sea Pirate faction the mod come with. The startpos script is giving the faction too much settlement that other faction mod who base on Wyrmkin of Norsca is being greatly interrupted, the legendary lords won't be spawn properly because they don't have any starting settlement.
This patch gives southern Cathay starter settlements back to our monkey bud. Also I understand the script was intending to make pirate faction survive longer from Druchii scums' big claws, so I gave it one Nippon island that was posessed by our ninja vermins of IEE(ninja vermins still have their hidden ninja village), the pirate faction itself is heavily base on historical Wokou after all.

I do understand that most modded factions build from their vanilla bases where possible. The reason I asked was that even when a faction uses a vanilla base, the startpos and region ownership can be changed by other mods, which sometimes alters spawn behaviour or creates conflicts — which is, I think, the sole reason for this submod.

Maintaining clean load orders and clear compatibility information is important, and references like “monkey bud” or “Druchii claws” aren’t very helpful without context. The wider player base may not be familiar with modding intricacies, so small assumptions can easily lead to misunderstandings.

Perhaps in future you could consider a clearer description - it would help avoid this kind of confusion and make your patch even more accessible. I'll just download it and test it for myself. Thanks!

@AwDiddums
A basic modding knowledge: every moded faction is based on their vanilla one if possible. If you are not using mod that base on vanilla Wyrmkins, I suppose you don't need to worry about if a generic faction is dead or alive

Thanks for the patch! Could you clarify exactly when it’s needed and which factions it affects?

The description says Roar of the Jade Sea: Yin-Yin and Immortal Empires Expanded give the Jade Sea Pirates too many Cathay settlements, blocking Wyrmkins from spawning - does this mean the vanilla Wyrmkins (Norscan minor near Cathay) or a modded version?

The “Required Items” list only shows Yin-Yin and IEE, but comments mention other mods - which ones are actually impacted, and does this patch fix all or just Wyrmkin? Also, who is the “monkey bud” (a Cathayan subfaction mod?) and are the “Druchii claws” referring to Lokhir Fellheart or another Dark Elf faction?

A short list or before/after map screenshots would help, and could you confirm if users with only vanilla Wyrmkins + Yin-Yin + IEE need this patch? Thanks!

@Tal'Raziid
I don't play SFO and never plan to, you may ask actual SFO patch makers to help, or learn the basic rpfm, ez

Hey boss, hate to be that dood, but do you have any interest in making an SFO patch for Yin-yin?

Same as Deadranger something is wrong with the mod
DeadRanger 10 月 20 日 下午 12:13
gotta be some kind of bug relating to my other mods, but using this causes yin yin to simply despawn all together. not sure why exactly.
