The Albrecht Dürer Monument in Nuremberg is a proud tribute to one of Germany’s greatest artists. The statue was sculpted by Christian Daniel Rauch, a leading figure of the Berlin school of neoclassical sculpture. Fun fact: Dürer was the first artist north of the Alps to achieve international fame through printed media. His iconic self-portraits and treatises on proportion influenced generations of artists, scientists, and thinkers.
