It's always bothered me that the best source of carbon your Survivors can come up with is Liquid fuel, when humanity has already been making pure lumps of carbon basically by accident in the form of charcoal since the stone age. Now you too can benefit from the ancient knowledge of our ancestors with this mod.

10 charcoal can be baked in the new Kiln from 10 wood, and is required to fuel the new Smelter for 24 hours, which can efficiently refine scrap metal and ores into metal alloys much faster than the vanilla Furnace. The Electric furnace has also been buffed to match the Smelter's output, at the expense of requiring more power.

Oil presses now require cloth as filters, involving them in construction and production, and using them up like fuel. As a consequence recipes involving the oil presses require less resources or time to craft.

The Distillery now uses charcoal as fuel, working at twice the time given by sticks. There is also a new distillation recipe made by mixing vegetable oil and animal fats into liquid fuel.

Nanotubes printing now unlocks a new recipe using Charcoal as an alternative to liquid fuel in the creation of Carbon nanotubes. This is to create viable alternatives to scenarios where there is a shortage of one resource or the other.
