What This Mod Does
  • This mod is a recreation based on MFO - Great Frontiers (WIP) .
  • Great Frontiers by The Mr. Shears was one of the earliest 'overhaul' mods I came across. Unfortunately, this overhaul seems to have been left in stasis since early 2024, and only after recently looking under the hood I've noticed the compilation missing many files so as to render the mod overhaul relatively broken. Additionally, a corrupt interiors file would cause crashes for me.
  • My New Frontiers mod is picking up the work since then to fix the compilation, replace missing files, and make any other minor fixes as found necessary. Unfortunately this could not simply be a patch since many important files were missing.
  • I will also build upon the baseline fixed compilation, adding in changes according to my own vision.

  • The Mr Shears for the original lovely work and for dabbling in the Minor Factions which I tend to find the most interesting anyhow. Thanks for your work and this is a tribute to you firstly.

Includes content from these mods as well, due their credit. Please give them a thumbs up and a follow.

This is all done as a love letter to Kenshi, and a hefty clap on the back of gratitude to the modders above and all others that paved the way to make the Kenshi experience better for everyone.

Dope! Let me know if there is anything in specific you need testing. I know the preacher cult was bugged(at least from comments from MFO comment sections. Also the sand ninja quest line is strange, you free the ninja, but if you go to the tower to talk with them they mark you as trespassing and attack which makes it hard to finish the quest to ally them.

@Klean - all of these are fixed, thanks for sharing them.

Tested and White Eyebrow is spawning in the now sole White Eyebrow Tower

Cool. Also would you consider removing the Crab Test Start? Pretty sure its from this mod. Also noticed that the long cleavers the white eyebrows have don't have the weapon removed from the back once they start fighting. Just disabled the mod and it fixed the issue. Think the hackers rework is likely the issue somehow. Also white eye brows have two towers and the clan leader isn't in either of them. I assume you already fixed them but just letting you know.

What I meant was I fixed the icon in my own mod. Forgot exactly how. Not sure if your is still small cause I ran into the same issue. If you want the icon files themselves that were generated let me know. Not sure if that helps. I do have my GF edit uploaded on my workshop if you wanna download that and see the fixes/changes for yourself. Thanks for bring this mod back to life as well. Easily the best vanilla+ overhaul mod out there.

@Klean - Outland Rags icon is a bit wonky-small but not blank-black or "X" ... is that what you meant by bugged?

@Klean - haven’t gotten around to compiling changes list yet, but I should have fixed the White Eyebrow faction now.

Glad someone is working on this again. One of the best mods imo. I actually have my own version with some fixes. Outland rags icon was bugged as well as the entire white eye brow faction. Is there a list of fixes included in this?
