Mechanoid Waiter

描述
Description
Adds a mechanoid that can work as a Waiter for a Restaurant using the Gastronomy mod. Also adds a new cash register that only mechanoid waiters can use. It requires both: Gastronomy, and Biotech to work.

The building and the mech are unlocked with Standard Mechtech.
Mech Recipe: x75 Steel, 1 Standard Subcore.


Mechanoid Waiters can also Haul, but they are slower than normal lifters. However, this it may be useful to restock the shelves of your restaurant. Just assign one or two off hours on the shift of your mechanoid to make it stop waiting and start restocking. I also suggest to assign them to a zone that only includes: The restaurant, the kitchen, the freezer and some charging spot.

@Sylum: Well, I never used 'WVC - work modes' before, but by the description, if you give the waiters a break of 5 hours with the 'Work and recharge' workmode, they will always be at almost full charge. So, putting two Waiters with different shifts, you will always have at least one Waiter waiting.

I didn't know about that mod, I might try it in the future. Thanks for bringing it up.

It's kind of awkward having mech waiters wasting energy, idling around your restaurant. Highly recommend using the "WVC - Work Modes" mod with this so they can power down when not needed.

WARNING: "Work and Recharge" mode from "WVC - Work Modes" by default will not allow the mech waiter to wake up from shutdown quickly enough to take orders, but you can fix it yourself by going to Patches > 01_Patches_WorkModes_Main ;)

Alternatively you could just use both types of cash registers, and leave your mech waiters on shutdown, manually turning them back on when your human workers are unavailable.

@Pasaway Yea, but they are only sent 1 or 2 people every 10 or so days despite the 100% ratings. It might just be how it is now. I hadn't played it in a while on account of lag cause I'd have multiple groups of 12+ showing up every few days. But I got a new rig and wanted to play the things I couldn't before ;)

I am having positive results for both Gastronomy and Storefront. I did start a new game though.

And today... the autoregister is now showing a shop tab. I did nothing, I just logged in after work and there it was.

Now to see if anyone will actually buy anything... I'm running Gastronomy, Hospitality, and Hospital, so I'm constantly full of patients and hardly any actual visitors despite the rave reviews lol

@jaargo2000: There is any error on the console? I really don't know what may it be, it's working fine on my end... maybe rebuild the cash register?

Store Front was after, so I moved it to before and saw no shop tab on the auto register, even rebuilt the register. Made a new waiter and it is not available to work at the normal register either

@jaargo2000: No, that's weird, it should also show the storefront tab... Maybe it's the load order? Is Storefront after or before this mod in your modlist?
