I didn't know about that mod, I might try it in the future. Thanks for bringing it up.
WARNING: "Work and Recharge" mode from "WVC - Work Modes" by default will not allow the mech waiter to wake up from shutdown quickly enough to take orders, but you can fix it yourself by going to Patches > 01_Patches_WorkModes_Main ;)

Alternatively you could just use both types of cash registers, and leave your mech waiters on shutdown, manually turning them back on when your human workers are unavailable.
Now to see if anyone will actually buy anything... I'm running Gastronomy, Hospitality, and Hospital, so I'm constantly full of patients and hardly any actual visitors despite the rave reviews lol
