Unexpected Guests [SP]

About an hour ago, two helicopters, allegedly from a British-owned gas drilling station roughly a hundred miles off the coast, reported an emergency and requested to land at the nearest airstrip with refueling and repair capability. Without waiting for clearance, they descended at the airstrip near Abdera - a region caught between FIA and AAF control as the northern insurgency gains momentum.

It's highly likely the crew and workers were detained by guerrillas to be used as hostages until either a ransom is paid or Pyrgos pulls its forces from the area. An AAF Mountain Special Forces patrol operating nearby reached the area shortly after communications with the AAF-held airstrip and an outpost nearby had already gone dark..

Our mission is straightforward: move through the valley and sweep a few houses to see if the enemy's been using them. Next, neutralize the FIA guerrillas at the nearby substation, then prepare to hit the airstrip to the north. Once the airstrip is secure, either free the gas rig workers - now presumed hostages - or gather any clues about their location. A mechanized QRF is currently mounting up in Athira, but they will take some time before they are here.

well, two months without a mission and all campaigns axed. dont expect much until the end of the year tho. the annual arma burnout is in full swing
