[DAM] Desert Crawler

The Dwarven Assault and Mining Company Desert Crawler is a one-of-a-kind machine - originally purchased from a backwater-world market.
(Seriously, who brings a crawler to a WATER planet!?)

As it turns out, we ran into a small... design oversight.
Deserts aren't flat.
The original batteries sat so low that they'd *explode* on contact with uneven terrain. So, in true DAMCo fashion, we fixed it the only way we know how - with scrap, ingenuity, and questionable engineering practices.

We stripped the wheel spine and axle assembly from one of our most-used vehicles - the OPC RAM (DAM Utility Variant) - and grafted it onto the Desert Crawler's underbelly.
After a few field adjustments (and maybe one small fire), we extended the frame to make room for the relocated gyros and widened the base to mount side batteries safely.

Now it rides smoother, hits harder, and only explodes when we want it to.
