描述
The Jotunn assault ship is a refit of a freighter with the same name. Mostly looking reminiscent of old Earth ships during the sol system expansion era, but fitted with more modern technologies. Featuring marine drop pods and a shuttle bay, the Jotunn was deployed under the Tarsonis Marine Corps for breaching stations, lunar, and planetary outposts - or landing just outside of them - and then being picked up by an LC-7G Super Pelican once the mission was done.

It was also deployed during the Trelan orbital blockades to launch vital supplies to settlers from afar and to not be detected by orbital platforms. Additionally, although it is capable of landing in 1g while carrying a lot of cargo if landing vertically, it is not advised due to the instability of landing directly on the nozzles. This stripped-down freighter is simply not fit for those kinds of maneuvers.

It is advised you use the subgrid projector plugin so that you can actually build the hellpods in survival.

You can just connect the ships vertically. I gave more than enough clearance for this.

I have only one complaint with this ship, but it also applies to many ships under the LIM banner.

The docking connectors.

The docking connectors on LIM ships, the Jotunn included, are incredibly obtuse, because of where they are placed in conjunction with other ships of the LIM brand, makes docking with some ships and/or stations either difficult or outright impossible without modifications. This is despite the fact that LIM ships share a docking architecture, that being a center door flanked on both sides by two connector blocks.

I had to modify my Jotunn's docking connectors to be able to dock with another LIM ship, that being the Juno Tradeship I refitted to act as a gunship. The two ships cannot dock properly because the Juno's edges overlap with the Jotunn's, even with most of the Juno's extra panels having been removed in my refit.

Another instance where the docking connectors gave me trouble was the Gallant Class Battlecruiser not being able to dock with one of the stations because the ship was just too long, but only by a little, prompting me to extend the docking arms of the station to fit it.

I really like these ships. They are a go-to for me and I subscribe to them almost as soon as they pop up on the workshop, but, with all due respect, the docking connectors may need a bit of work in the future to ensure compatibility.

My stations are already compatible to dock with it, and I've got planetary stuff in my plans but I can't start on them yet.

Very nice, probably one of my favorite collections on the workshop, thanks for uploading! Do you think you could design some planetary/space bases compatible with the docking ports on the ships sometime in the future?
