Simple CRAMs

描述
Changes CRAM pellets, packers, compressors and 6 way connectors to simpler versions to reduce strain on your computer, this completely solves lagging from lots of CRAM parts, the textures are a little funny, and you can still paint the blocks

Now updated with textures!!!
It turns out it was actually not that difficult and I was just being an idiot

@Bombardment Pigs It is indeed Blender, I created the models and placed them in the "assets" folder, as far as I can tell this section does not exist in the from the depths mod designer, you have to make it in file explorer and place the models there in the .obj format, then create a mesh using the models and then use a mesh replacement with that new mesh

Impressive! Glad to see an improvement over my cube pellets mod.
What program did you use to create the 3D models and how did you get them into the game?

@pinbuck I am not sure if textures put any strain on the game as I do not know much about them, hence why this mod has the original CRAM textures, as for keeping the original shape I tried to keep the general idea the same but it is difficult to keep these new optimised components as easily recognisable as the originals as they are just so detailed and if i tried keeping that detail then the new blocks would not be very optimised and then that defeats the purpose of the mod, as for expanding the amount of simplified blocks, I will get around to this eventually

have you considered making a mod that optimizes FTD's textures without straying too hard from their original shape and textures?

Honest question, wont the quads turn to tris anyway? Unless thats just a promo image meant to more strongly imply the nature of the mod, then no questions lol

@wolficik I may get around to doing other detailed blocks, from what i have heard plasma is very similar to CRAM but i have not used it yet so I don't know, the same goes for fuel engines, I have not had any issues with large builds lagging other than with CRAM which is why I made this mod, I was in the middle of building a 30 million mat fortress and the games fps tanked after i put CRAMs on, I will probably make mods for those other high stress blocks eventually, but I currently don't need them so it's not much of a priority for me

If enough people want it though I might make them soon, but I don't know how to make textures though and the blocks in this mod look a bit goofy to say the least, if I make a full series of simplified block mods I would look into making some textures

Pretty amazing mod and an idea. Some blocks have absurd vertex numbers in FTD and big crafts can stress even the high-end hardware. Would you be interested in making a "Simple" mod series ? I would be more then happy if you make a collection out of this mod and continue masking the internal parts like APS, Fuel Engines etc.
