They are "human-like skeletons," but not human.
As skeletons, they are attacked by the Holy Nation as beings of darkness.
As skeletons, they have black oil blood, making them vulnerable to Paladin Cross attacks.
As skeletons, they are unaffected by Deadlands acid, Venge lasers, Ashlands poison gas, and desert sandstorms.
As skeletons, they will have conversations with other skeletons, such as "Cattlon and Tinfist were a good team."
In terms of impact on the game, "having a character with the same performance as a normal skeleton with unlocked armor slots as a playable character would be too powerful," so their armor slots are locked "the same as a normal skeleton."
The "NH model," with lower durability, has unlocked equipment slots, but they are also skeletons, not humans.
Their blood is red, but slightly darker than that of humans. (It's inspired by the red oil that darkens with use.)
(don't get me wrong: the Doll is still working ok..)
If you don't want the NPCs to use the JRPG Vanilla model, then ignore the warning and use them with JRPG Vanilla turned off.
(However, the NPC will be bald.)
I don't plan to make a vanilla model version.
I'll leave that to someone else.
