Easy Item Ping

A simple script to let you ping items for your teammates.

Hold the WALK key (usually bound to SHIFT) and shove an item. It will be given a bright green outline that's visible through walls and from a moderate distance away. This makes the item easy to see, so you don't need to stand near it and wait for your teammates to come and pick it up. A chat message will also be displayed to all players telling them an item has been found, saving you from needing to stop and type the message in chat yourself.

The ping outline will be removed when the item is interacted with. You can also remove it manually by pinging it again, and the outline will not be visible once you walk far enough away (though it will reappear once you get close again).

Features
- Quickly inform your teammates of item locations; you don't need to stop and type messages in chat or stand next to the item so they can find it
- Works with all vanilla items and weapons, as well as medical cabinets, miniguns, mounted guns, laser sight boxes and deployed ammo upgrades
- Messages can change depending on certain item contexts, such as whether an ammo upgrade is deployed or not
- Only the host needs the mod installed. All other players can still ping items and see each others pings
- You can mark items for later use so you don't lose track of where they are
- Keeps your UI clean; no extra icons or popups are used, just chat messages and outlines
