Old-School Gold based Economy

描述
This is a small, experimental mod that replaces all resources with gold only, so Pharaoh plays more like the classic Total War games.
• Every building, unit cost and upkeep now use gold.
• All settlements produce gold instead of food, wood, stone, etc.

The goal is just for fun and nostalgia—it is not balanced yet.
I’d love feedback and ideas if you try it out.

Enable/disable any time; it should work with existing saves.

@KellyBomaye this exactly what I aiming for. a bit like thrones of britania where each army or maybe each unit has a small food upkeep and the main building slot. but keep gold as the major resource

@Aegon; the old resource/commodity system does not function entirely. So adding resources in their previous capacity will likely not be possible. But you can utilize the multi-resource system in a less intensive way by assigning food upkeep to higher level primary slot buildings to represent the increase in food for larger cities and a small base food upkeep for all units. Only require stone for certain buildings (most would have been mudbrick in egypt for example). The challenge is in the time it takes to balance.

Faction-specific units have no upkeep. This could be a balance issue. :TWP_Scarab:

maybe it is the nostalgia but I feel that this mod is better than the Vanilla.

I think multi-resource system has a higher potential overall but the way its implemented is not so great. Will give this a try!

Happy you enjoyed it.
For some reason I liked it more than the multiple resources type system.
The mod isn’t fully balanced yet, there are still things to adjust but it is playable and feedbacks will help a lot.
