The economy is realistic and challenging across all our mods, but the Extreme Edition focuses on one thing: time. It dramatically slows your skill progression to accurately simulate a full 25-year career, from a rookie company driver to a seasoned veteran owner-operator.

Which Version is Right for You?

Our mods share the same realistic, market-driven economy. The primary difference is the time it takes to advance your career. Choose the version that best fits your playstyle and time commitment.

Classic Edition:

Best for: Casual players or those with limited playtime.

The Experience: A standard, satisfying career progression where you can reach high levels without an enormous time investment.

Hardcore Edition:

Best for: Dedicated players who want a longer, more rewarding journey.

The Experience: Extends the career progression significantly, making every milestone a major accomplishment.

Extreme Edition (This Mod):

Best for: The most patient simulation veterans who want a true long-haul career experience.

The Experience: This is the ultimate marathon. Your skill progression is drastically slowed to simulate a 25-year career. You will spend a very long time as a company driver, and unlocking skills will take a significant amount of in-game time and real-world dedication.

Extended Company Driver Phase: The early game is your career for a long time. You will spend a significant portion of your playthrough driving for other companies, slowly honing your skills and saving every euro before you can even dream of owning your own truck.

Glacial Skill Progression: Every skill point is a monumental decision. Unlocking new cargo types, long-distance routes, or eco-driving skills is a long-term goal that requires immense dedication, locking you out of more lucrative opportunities for extended periods.

Delayed Financial Independence: Access to larger bank loans is tied to your driver level. Because your level increases very slowly, your ability to finance a truck or expand your business is severely delayed. The transition from driver to owner-operator is a true late-game achievement.

The wait is over! We are thrilled to announce that the Dynamic Freight Market (DFM) is now a core feature in our economy mods for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. This multi-layered system transforms the in-game economy from a static list of jobs into a living, breathing world that responds to the time of year and simulated economic conditions.

The goal of the DFM is to create a challenging and immersive experience where the "best cargo to haul" is constantly changing, forcing you to adapt your strategy like a real-world trucker.

Key Features of the Dynamic Freight Market

The DFM is built on several interconnected systems that work together to create a cohesive simulation.

Dynamic Cargo Rates (DCR): The price you are paid for cargo is no longer fixed. Rates will now fluctuate based on the season, leading to premium pay for off-season goods and lower rates during a market glut.

Dynamic Supply System (DSS): The availability of jobs will change realistically throughout the year. You will experience seasonal booms where certain industries are desperate for drivers, and shortages where finding a specific type of cargo becomes a genuine challenge.

Dynamic Economy Parameters (DEP): Beyond individual cargoes, the entire economic climate of the game world will shift. The market can become "Busy," "Sluggish," or "Booming," affecting overall job availability and pay rates across the board.
