Body Weight & Encumbrance Adjustments

Allows for a more realistic, mindful approach to picking your early game battles; carrying your fallen recruits away from danger may no longer be an option! Have you ever noticed how quickly you can develop your athletics skill while your strength remains handicapped, no matter how far or long you travel carrying useless junk and unlucky foes? Now at the expense of a more challenging early game, training for strength will actually make you stronger!

Included Modifications: (Version 1.0 - Released: September 19th, 2025) + Increased Carry Person Weight: 62kg (Default Value: 30kg) Global body weight for all races and animals; the game engine doesn't distinguish. + Increased Encumbrance Base: 20kg (Default Value: 15kg) New recruits aren't completely handicapped; 5kg can accomodate for the extra food requirements. + Increased Encumbrance Hunger Rate: 1.25 (Default Value: 0.7) Carrying the weight of the world requires calories; gains won't stack in a caloric deficit. + Increased XP Rate Strength from Walking: 1 (Default Value: 0.5) Rewards recruits in a manner and speed more linear, similar to current athletics skill gain.

Importing your Save is *NOT* required.

May be incompatible with other mods that adjust the above values.
May break immersion if you consider running around, body over shoulder with a backpack full of rocks for days on end, as tradition. Strength training should actually train strength.

Let me know how it goes! I’m still testing it’s longevity myself; obviously the changes become more subtle the stronger your recruits do get.

I agree with everything stated in the description, I'll check out the mod with a new playthrough
