描述

Adds Cosmetic Slots for Hands, Body and Head to express your fashion desires without the need to give up on your actual equipment! Travel the Constant in a sizzling style!
Have you ever wanted to use a skin but couldn't because the item itself wasn't that good? Say no more! Now you can use any equippable item without worrying about whether it's actually equipped or not.
Beware! Although items equipped in Cosmetic Slots don't lose durability or spoil, they do not provide any functionality or benefits to the player. Don't get fooled!

Q: What this mod does?
A: This mod adds 3 new slots to the player's inventory that can hold equippable items as Cosmetic Items. They override your character's appearance and equipped items in regular inventory slots, but don't provide any functionality or benefits to the player.
Q: Does equipping an item to Cosmetic Slots overrides my equipped item stats?
A: Items equipped in the Cosmetic Slots only overrides the appearance. That means if you have a Dark Sword equipped and equip a Spear in the Cosmetic Slots, your Dark Sword will still deal the same damage as before but will use the appearence of the Spear instead.
Q: What happens if I equip a Backpack in the Cosmetic Slots?
A: Equipping items that are containers will cause them to drop everything inside. That means you can't equip a Backpack filled with stuff and carry it around with you.

As of now, the only exception is the Enlightened Crown that lets you keep Mushroom Spores and Celestial Jewels stashed. But it does not provide the Enlightenment Effect.
Q: What are the Pantomimed Items?
A: Designed by our local stylist Wes, Pantomimed Items are invisible items that can be equipped to Cosmetic Slots to hide a piece of clothing from your character.

Pantomimed Items can be found at the Clothing Filter. If you're playing the stylist himself, they can be found at the Survivor Items Filter as well. They cannot be equipped to regular slots and are destroyed when dropped.

And why a Feather Pencil is required to craft them? Well... Let's just say you're going to draw them in the air just like old cartoons.
Q: Some item's animations are looking finicky when equipped.
A: This mod is still in development and needs some final touches to specific items, if you find any item that requires atention please report it in the commentary section below.
Q: Is this mod compatible with Item skins?
A: Yes! It should work with items that have skins without any problem.
Q: Is this mod compatible with HUD Skin Mods?
A: Yes! It should work with any Mod that changes the appearance of the HUD.
Q: Is this mod compatible with Extra Equip Slots Mod?
A: Yes and No. This mod has native support for other mods that adds extra inventory slots but due to the huge amount of Extra Equip Slots copycats it's too much work to make every single of them compatible. If you're using an incompatible version, please consider contacting the mod author to make a compatibility patch for Cosmetic Slots.
Q: Is this mod compatible with Modded Items?
A: Yes. Modded Items should work. But the mod alone only covers the Durability and Spoilage components. If the item does something more complex, Mod authors will need to provide futher support. More information can be found in the Mod Support discussion.
Q: Is there a Shortcut Key for opening/closing the Cosmetic Slots?
A: Yes! Head to: Main Menu → Mods → Server Mods → Cosmetic Slots → Configure Mod and select your desired Shortcut Key. This is a client-side option.
Q: Does this mod works with other mods?
A: I can't confirm that, sorry. If you're playing this mod along with other mods and have issues, please consider disabling them first and try again to see what is causing the problem. You can post your problem in the Bug / Crash Report discussion.

The mod has support for multiple languages! If you want to contribute with your localization, please join our Discord and follow the steps there.
For changing the Mod Language head over to:
Main Menu → Mods → Server Mods → Cosmetic Slots → Configure Mod
Note that language option is client-side and only applies to yourself.

@Dominator I assume you're playing with some kind of Extra Equip Slots Mod? If so, that's likely the cause. Otherwise if it has nothing to do with other Mods, you can post your issue at Bug Tracker

i dunno if its just me but it wont allow me to put armor in the cosmetic slot like it will play the jingle telling me that it doesnt equip there when it should but the helmet and hand slot do work so i dont know if i cant use certain armors for cosmetics atm until its implemented or if this is a bug

@JoeMercy Unfortunately that doesn't tell much about the problem. If you can provide crash logs it would be very helpful, you can share them at the Bug Tracker
