描述

Redesigns Great Britain with a focus on its continued colonial projects into the Modern Age, and in the later parts of the age, its pioneering welfare state and multicultural urbanism.

Great Britain now generates Treasure Convoys from distant lands settlements. Hold onto your colonial territories for an alternative way to pursue an Economic Victory in the Modern Age!

Promote a booming urban population with late-game bonuses to Food, supporting a specialist economy with welfare and immigration.

FEATURES
  • Britain Reimagined: Makes Britain's abilities feel more distinctive and representative of Britain's role in the Industrial and Post-Industrial Age. The original DLC's abilities for Britain made urbanising more costly, despite Britain's extensive and early urbanisation relative to other nations: this effect now only applies to Britain's colonies. They also made little reference to Britain's colonialism: the source of its wealth and power throughout its height.
  • New Civics & Traditions: New civics trace Britain's history, from the foundations of capitalism and constitutional monarchy, to the modern welfare state and multiculturalism.
  • New Icon: A crown on its own isn't really a symbol of Britain: there are many European monarchies, and all of them use crowns. The icon is replaced with a crowned portcullis: the iconic symbol of Parliament.
  • Unique Quarter: Industrialise with Textile Mills, and provide free healthcare to the masses with NHS Hospitals, combining to create Boomtowns across Britain.
  • Scottish and Welsh Cities: The original DLC only included English city names, so a new city name list is added which includes Scottish and Welsh cities, so that your empire can represent all of Great Britain.
  • Battersea Redesigned: Battersea has nothing to do with shipbuilding or naval power in any way: its original ability made no sense. It now provides culture bonuses from overbuilding, representing postindustrial development as you repurpose old sites.
  • Oxford University Redesigned: Oxford is one of the oldest universities in the world, and much of its fame comes from its ancient traditions. As a Modern Age wonder, however, it's by necessity the last university ever to be founded. To fix this, Oxford is now an Exploration Age wonder which is unlocked at 'Guilds'. It also now yields Culture instead of Science, representing its prestige in the Humanities and Social Sciences, rather than the Natural Sciences.

NOTE: Cities generating Treasure Convoys won't display the turns countdown in the Resources UI like they do in the Exploration Age. Don't worry: they do still generate!
