- In 1969 there was a major coincidence that another band called Coven made a song titled Black Sabbath and that their bassist was called “Oz Osbourne”. Tony Iommi never recognized or was inspired by Coven but found out about them later after their release of the debut album of Black Sabbath around 1970.

- Tony Iommi was almost hired to work on the soundtrack for A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

- Black Sabbath had a side project / supergroup band called Heaven and Hell made from the lineup of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. Obviously an influence from their album “Heaven and Hell”
