The Fracture of 2029: A Nation Shattered

By the late 2020s, America was cracking under the weight of crises both real and imagined. Inflation, broken supply chains, and relentless political gridlock poisoned trust in every institution. Into that void, conspiracy theories flourished: whispers of a “Great Reset,” QAnon cabals, chemtrail mind-control, 5G brainwashing, and viral TikTok prophecies of pole shifts and biblical floods. Every solar flare, every storm, every rumor became “proof” of a coming apocalypse.

The frenzy reached a fever pitch in the summer of 2029, when a disputed presidential election spiraled into chaos. Allegations of fraud, foreign cyberattacks, and voter suppression split the nation. On July 4th, a razor-thin 5 to 4 Supreme Court “Judgment Day Ruling” voided key swing states, igniting riots that made past unrest look tame.

Then came the hammer blow: the Blackout Bombings. A wave of EMP strikes, officially blamed on extremists but whispered to be triggered by pole-shift solar storms, collapsed the East Coast grid on August 15, 2029. Millions were left in darkness. Within weeks, food vanished, cities burned, and more than 100,000 perished from heat, violence, and failed infrastructure.

The federal government faltered. Navigation systems went haywire as the magnetic poles lurched. Militias armed with conspiracy manifestos rose from the shadows. By fall, America was no longer one nation, but seven:

Loyalists (Federal Remnants): Midwest/Northeast strongholds clinging to constitutional order.

East Coast Confederation: Trade-first Atlantic states, holding Norfolk’s vital shipyards.

Southern Republic (Texas-led): Energy-rich Gulf powers, ruling oil rigs and ports.

Pacific Alliance (California-led): Tech-driven western bloc, controlling San Diego and Pearl Harbor.

Alaskan Sovereignty: Arctic resource barons, hardened by isolation and melting ice.

Floridian Free State: Smugglers, militias, and chaos—an unpredictable arms market.

Hawaiian Independence: A fortified island bastion, armed with both tradition and high-tech defenses.

The U.S. Navy, once the crown jewel of unity, fractured along with the nation. Fleets defected to home factions. Former comrades turned their missiles on each other, fighting for sea lanes, shipyards, and survival. Foreign powers circled like sharks, while propaganda, mutinies, and false-flag attacks blurred every battle line.

And through it all, the conspiracies refused to die. Was the pole shift accelerating toward extinction? Were shadow elites manipulating the war from hidden bunkers? Or was this simply America’s destiny, to collapse from within?

The fog of war has swallowed the truth. Only one thing is certain: the seas will decide who rises from the ruins of the fractured republic.

@connoly are you turning any radar on? Are you following the pre determined path? Are you shooting missiles at the TICOs? If any of those are a yes, you are doing it wrong. ;)

This is beatable, it is not meant to be easy.

Am i missing something. Every time the Enterprise gets smoked by 50 SAM missiles from the TICOs. I can't shoot them down. Only the harpoons. Mission ends.

@ dares72 Yes, only one mission is available that is complete, there is a second that has no triggers and is in the conceptual phase. The second one is testable but has no triggers. I just have to clean that one up, add story triggers within the mission and make a briefing then mission two will be complete. Spark of Division is the first mission.

You say only the first mission works. There are two missions in th elist, which one is the first? Can we assume the first one on the list is what you consider the first?

@cent Thanks for testing that. Was not sure if it would break it or not.

You dont need to have the air deck ops mods required. The scenario will work fine without them

@HiroProtagonist Thank you for the feedback, when I have some time next weekend, I will be finishing mission 2.

@AICTAIY I can make a version without the 6th generation fighters or you can modify the mission data and take them out, or dont launch them at all? Your choice.
All I can think about Is you 9 月 26 日 下午 6:15
