So I get a message ten times saying there is a drunken meetup. Out of curiosity I go to the website and see my maps are the most downloaded; after all this time. I'm RyOK. I created Cold Case, Fort Noesis, freezer burn, zombies from planet x several years ago. I completely forgot about the Left 4 Dead 2 part of my life, and I'm surprised the campaigns are still being played. Do you guys still have the source files for my maps? I remember giving them to Trunten a long LONG time ago. Maybe I can port my maps to Unity?

Finale was a bit nasty, not easy to find and even harder to get there after finding path, overall not bad campaign

The problem with the audio is the files are probably missing. They're not in the original L4D1 VPK either, there's probably a version of the VPK out there somewhere with them in but I've yet to find it

Yeah I myself didn't hear any dialogue when I fired the howitzer, not from the survivors or any custom NPCs, I didn't see the projectile from another source, I just went to it and it exploded shortly afterwards, with the fence being destroyed in a weird way that made it annoying to progress. I would say maybe add a warning to stay away from the fence for those who don't hear the audio to due to conflicts and such?

well my point was it is working properly for me and others
it could be possible you might have to adjust your audio settings
the idea was the howitzer was "broken" (but not how you think)
another solider nearby ("NPC") communicates about the failure and fires their own
maybe there's other addons conflicting, i don't know, it works for me and others
not trying to disagree with you that something's not right but we couldn't reproduce it
other than not hearing the custom audio, the howitzer was designed to be delayed
you might be able to see the explosion come from another source, this was intentional

Didn't hear any dialogue from NPCs inside the safehouse and that seems like a very badly designed howitzer then. There's no indication it's meant to be like that and the duplicating fences makes it annoying to progress as opposed to a challenge.

the howitzer event was actually intentionally designed like that
you should've been hearing custom audio dialogue from an NPC
also in between safe rooms, this campaign has custom NPC dialogue

Had to split my comments due to the length, overall this map is fine, yet those bugs and difficulty negatively affected my experience. I'd say a 5/10.

The 3rd map being the finale was fine, only bad thing is the supplies are a bit too far apart, so not many good holdout spots, one has the ammo yet you risk Chargers, Boomers and Spitters as it's in the open. The radio room just has no ammo pile either too. Also I don't know why but this map was brutal even on easy, somehow I'd used all medkits from the first level and had none on the second, with the bots using the ones from the saferoom, normally they use one or two, not all of them. Then when I encountered a Tank on the 2nd level I got pinned by a Charger, on the finale I got pinned by a Hunter too, these things both happened when Tanks spawned so I got either terrible rng or the spawning is upped to a absurd level, like I got pinned 3 times by separate Chargers within a few minutes on the finale.

1st level is fine, nothing special and not too difficult, with 8 Survivors yoy have to warp the others up as they spawn under the map. So the 2nd level of this seems to be broken and buggy, I got to the part where you shoot the howitzer but there was no explosion with a fire. I went to the fence that the projectile hit, but it blew up after a few minutes and damaged my team, the fences were objects too as opposed to the barracade being burnt down or something like that. I noticed there was a truck you can climb onto which takes you back to the parking lot segment of the 1st level, which you can follow to the saferoom yet it doesn't open so the only way to get back to the actual level is by no clipping. I had to parkour over the broken fence to proceed as it was broken in a way where you couldn't simply climb over, like you have to use the wreckage to parkour over from a certain angle.
