描述
The PC-09 "Aria" is the smallest, lightest and cheapest large-grid combat ship Ikuyo Aerospace offers. Designed principally for local defense around planetary shipping lanes and stations, the PC-09 excels at dealing with lightly armed, fast-moving asymmetric threats. While lacking the slip-space drives of it's larger cousin, the PCF-12, the Aria is more than capable of patrolling a given planetary system with its sizable array of hydrogen thrusters and ample fuel capacity. While not exceptionally survivable, the Aria is more than capable of dispatching rogue drones, Space Pirates, and occasionally larger threats with its fixed 200mm spinal rocket battery.

Armament
  • 2x 105mm Cannon Turret: 1,250 m Maximum Range.
  • 2x 25mm Point Defense Turret: 800 m Maximum Range.
  • 1x 200mm Rocket Battery: 800 m Maximum Range.

Features
  • All Planets and Moons: The PC-09 makes use of a powerful array of hydrogen thrusters making it capable of flight up to 1.5G.
  • Low Cost, Long Range: The Aria is dirt-cheap by large ship standards and capable of comfortably carrying a smaller F-145H snub-fighter on the bow. It packs substantial fuel capacity for its size, and when tanks run dry, the patented Ikuyo Aerospace over-unity hydrogen fueling system allows simultaneous power and fuel generation using only water-ice.
  • Compact and Well Armed: The PC-09 won't win any battles with capital ships, but its compact size and substantial armament ensures its a survivable threat on the battlefield.
  • Survival Ready: Fully plumbed and survival ready. Easily hand-welded, but also printable by even modest welder arrays.

Datasheet
  • PCU: 2,343
  • Block Count: 115
  • Non-Armor Blocks: 71
  • Triangles: 270,937
  • Grid Mass: 115,785
  • Lifting Capacity: >50,000 kg in 1G.

Scripts
No scripts are included by default.

DLCs and Redistribution
This ship is vanilla but makes use of the Heavy Industry, Warfare II, Decorative Blocks I and Signal DLCs. Only the Decorative Blocks I DLC is critical to ship functionality.

Special Credits and Notes
The PC-09 was borne out of my experience playing as the most recent edition of Lunar Kolony survival. The larger PCF-12 was a good local defense craft, but significantly larger than it had to be, primarily owing to the inclusion of a jump drive. I wanted a cheap, simple, anti-pirate craft I could use within an asteroid belt, and so designed this.

Suggestions
I'm always open to suggestions or ideas so please let me know if you have any!

Also, weapons as in the blueprint have target neutrals on.

Glad you brought this up because I knew I forgot to add something to the description lol. You can still get in, if you crouch under one of 2x1 slopes on the rear you can hit the corner of the cockpit door. I just uploaded another picture showing how. Thanks!

Always impressed by the form factor of your ships, but I think I made a mistake with this one. Docked it to a pad to fuel and arm it, now I can't see the cockpit for access. Is there something I'm missing, or should I only dock this to a spar docking arrangement if I wish to leave the cockpit?

Not gonna lie, that would be great. If you have the time for such a thing, go for it. People like me would definitely appreciate it :-)

Thanks! It really does motivate me to build to hear stuff like that. I've been thinking for a while now about putting together a steam guide of sorts about ship building if you think that would be helpful.

I absolutely love your ship designs. I have to be honest, I suck at building ships, so I like to dissect yours and get an idea how to build, lol. I must say that I'm impressed how you make it seem so easy. Everything just makes sense. Then, when I try to build it, it always ends up as a cube, lol.
