The fictional Aminowa Atoll is a small, four-island chain located in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. The chain is composed of a large, centrally located island, "Aminowa," and three smaller, surrounding islands, each with its own unique characteristics. The surrounding sea is a deep blue, with small, scattered coral reefs visible from above. The islands are primarily sandy with rocky shorelines, though they do support some sparse, low-lying vegetation.

Aminowa Island: The largest of the four islands, Aminowa is the heart of the atoll and the main Japanese defensive position. The island's terrain is a mix of hard-packed sand and rocky outcrops, with a few small, forested sections. Japanese fortifications are heavily concentrated here, with a network of bunkers, trenches, and machine-gun nests crisscrossing the island. Anti-aircraft guns and coastal defense emplacements dot the shoreline, aimed at repelling any naval or air assault. The center of the island features a series of jagged hills and ridges, providing excellent defensive positions and observation points. A small, makeshift airfield with a single dirt runway is located on the island's southeastern side, used for resupply and reconnaissance.

Airbase Island: Located to the northwest of Aminowa, this island is the primary American staging ground. The terrain is relatively flat, with a long, reinforced-concrete runway running almost the entire length of the island. The runway is bordered by several aircraft parking areas and a small maintenance hangar. The rest of the island is dominated by a makeshift tent city, a communication post, and a small fuel depot. The shoreline is mostly sandy, with a few small landing craft beached for resupply operations.

Akimawika Island: The smallest of the islands, situated directly north of Aminowa. This island is characterized by its steep, rocky cliffs and a small, sheltered cove. Japanese forces have established a lookout post and a small supply cache on the island's high ground. The terrain is difficult to traverse, making it a natural chokepoint and an ideal location for a hidden position.

Hashi Island: To the east of Aminowa lies this elongated, heavily fortified island. The terrain is a mix of rocky beaches and a dense, low-lying jungle that provides excellent concealment. The Japanese have constructed a series of well-camouflaged bunkers and foxholes among the trees and rocks. This island serves as a forward observation post and a secondary line of defense for the main island, with several machine gun emplacements overlooking the channel between it and Aminowa.

The atoll's clear waters and sparse vegetation give a sense of open-field combat, yet the numerous fortified positions, natural cover, and close proximity of the islands create a multi-faceted and claustrophobic battleground. The central battle for Aminowa is a brutal, close-quarters engagement, while the flanking islands offer opportunities for tactical maneuvers, ambushes, and flanking attacks.
