Do you happen to be using any of these two mods that lock the missile into a specific warhead type?

Or are you using one of Magnum's missile effect mods like this one?

Because I'd bet C-bills that either of these would be causing an issue since the code for the mod is basically 1/1 for the code used in the actual Unreal engine itself.

Any mod conflicts? Are they still disappearing after the missile is out of view or are they not showing up at all?

smoke trails are still disappearing for me

They are, the original blueprint has the "Missile_Smoke" render set to high, so I just needed to change the BP render settings to low in order for it to still render on lower settings.

I thought these were tied to the graphical settings, specifically the effects settings so having them on low removes the trails.

No conflicts, just isn't showing any missile smoke trails when mod is active.
