Tastefully Topless

I wanted to use UnCheat's great Underwear tops and hand wraps, and as such I needed a mod that, uh, freed the girls' girls. However, while I could find some most excellent options, the ones that I stumbled upon embraced full nudity, and that wasn't what I wanted to go for at this moment. As such, I took it upon myself to be the change I wanted to see in the world, and, after a couple of hours designing the human texture, some more hours designing the shek texture, and many, many, MANY more hours designing, checking, adjusting, scrapping and redesigning the normal maps for both races, this is the result. It is quite pleasing to the eyes, if I do say so myself, but beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder.

The features should be pretty self explanatory, but just in case: this mod adds topless (i.e.: not fully nude) textures to both human and shek females. I took extra care making decent normal maps for both the muscular and skinny morphs, so be sure to check out them buff ladies - and spare a few pieces of dried meat to the starving ones, yes?

This took me a lot of work, but I hope you like the end result as much as liked the idea and hated actually going through with it!

Notes and parting words:

- This mod makes evident a bug in Kenshi's female 3d models: as one messes with the breast size slider, a vertex in the sternum area which should, by all rights, stay put wildly moves to either side. After a sleepless night tring to find what was wrong with my textures, I figured said bug out (which IS pretty obvious, but my wits had left me a few hours earlier). It actually affects not only other similar mods, but the base game as well (it's just that the cloth wraps do a good job of camouflaging the problem). A texture swap will never fix that, though replacing the base game's models with fixed ones might do it. It is something I might try to tackle eventually, when I'm no longer burned out from messing with normal maps for days on end.

- Most of the alterations to the base game's assets were made by yours truly, but I couldn't have made these if I didn't stand on the shoulders of giants. Thanks, and credits, go to Lo-Fi Games, for making Kenshi and the vanilla textures, to ketz, author of YAKNM, which unbeknownst to them taught me the basics of designing normal maps and upon whose I referenced upon to make mine, and to SCARaw which, without their single-minded pursuit of the Shek perfect body[www.nexusmods.com], I wouldn't have found within myself the willpower to tackle those most spiny of ladies, and upon whose rendition of their upper back I based my interpretation. And glory to their belly buttons!
