The Sellsword's Strait

The Sellsword's Strait, previously known as Jean's strait, is a busy trade harbor that divided the Northmen's Sea (To the north) and the Blooming Sea (To the south).

The immense traffic flowing between the seas and the rich soil to the south would attract opportunistic settlers and eventually develop the land next to the straight into a sprawling and wealthy harbor that generated most of it's wealth through trade tolls, banking, lumber, and bookmaking.

The immense wealth wouldn't go unnoticed however, as raiders and beasts from the swamps to the east would occasionally raid and plunder near the edges of civilization, and there were rumors going around of tribes gathering far up in the mountains.

Nevertheless, the strait held strong, as hired mercenaries would quickly make work of any who threatened to destroy or conquer the strait, which led to the nickname "The Sellsword's Strait".
