MÁV Class M38 (Vakond)

Description

The MÁV Class M38 (designated A24 on industrial railways) is a C-axle arrangement diesel shunting locomotive series, built by the Hungarian Wagon and Machine Factory between 1960 and 1961 with the factory type codes Rába M060 and M061. Its traction duty was light shunting service and hauling freight trains on branch lines.
Nickname: “Mole”.

A MÁV M38 sorozat (iparvasútaknál A24) egy C tengelyelrendezésű dízel tolatómozdony sorozat, melyet a Magyar Vagon– és Gépgyár gyártott 1960 és 1961 között Rába M060 és M061-es gyári típusjellel. Vontatási feladata: könnyű tolatószolgálat, mellékvonali tehervonatok továbbítása. Beceneve: Vakond.
