Comment from the internet: Lynch is a master at atmosphere. Everything in this scene is so quiet that you can hear every little thing. It makes everything feel so tense you almost have to hold your breath, like you're right there with Jeffrey trying to stay out of sight. Take that and combine it with steady, still camerawork and subtle musical cues and the you get a brilliant and horrifying scene. There's really nobody like Lynch.
