The Umbra Miniboss

A fiend from the abyss, it empties the sea of life.
Initial Encounter: One Time Quest: Hunt the Umbra.
After: Where to find: Cove. Torch below 21. 5% Spawn Chance.
Or: Cove: With Umbra Legacy quirk. +10% Spawn Chance for each character with quirk.

The Basilisk was a trying foe, yet our victory has been met with despair rather than celebration. The harbor of our estate rattles with moored ships; the fish markets are empty; trade has has all but ceased: for the waters run red. A beast called the Umbra hunts the Cove, devouring all sea life and sinking every ship.

It is slightly larger than a shark; however, the serpentine creature uses tail and claw to cut and thrash our hulls. Worse yet, however, is the sea life, for every creature below is consumed by one of its many maws. The midnight scales of the Umbra, in addition to its speed, make it difficult to hunt; yet, the merchants have spared no expense.

We know the location, and now we must descend betwixt the cliffs of the cove. Deep within is its damp lair, where it feasts on its favored prey...
