Filibuster Rhymes Acceptable Guns DEMO! for B42
Hey dudes! Finally got a gun mod going! This project started with my buddy a good about 5 years ago, but then he went and got hired by TIS!
Now that I figured out some coding, though, I can finally get this sucker going! I was gonna reuse the models, but nah. I decided to start over.
This is a demo version of what I'd like to do, but should be as complete as any other mod. Currently, it replaces the vanilla weapon spawns, but you've got a sandbox option added to have both spawn if you want!
You can add it to existing worlds, but it'll probably only spawn in new areas, or if you have loot respawn enabled. I kept the spawn rates the same, so it shouldn't flood the world with guns.
If the console has a repeated error, it's probably an issue with an item not being replaced on a zombie. If that happens, try reloading the save. If you have debug on, you can also reload the lua. If you see an item labeled "fr_loadout_", do NOT equip it. I added a fail safe in case players do, but haven't been able to confidently test it yet. If you want to test it, please back up your save first! Thanks!
It should be compatible with any gun mod that's compatible with vanilla.

Features
  • 13 FULLY customizable guns!
  • 90ish different spawn variants! (Like short, mid and full length ar15, M16A2, etc)
  • Folding stocks!
  • Working suppressors!

  • Reworked weapon wheel! Now gives you an estimated amount of ammo left in the mag.
  • Removable, replaceable parts!

    Make the gun YOU want! Got lucky and found you a civilian AR15 with a 16 inch barrel? Nice! Feelin' like running through the jungle instead? Just pull off the forend, toss that 16 inch barrel in the trash, and burn that collapsing stock, cause you can slap on a full stock, 20 inch barrel and triangular forend!
    Wanna turn that snub nosed .44 into a discount hunting rifle? Grab a wrench and bash off that barrel, toss on a 10 incher, weaver attachment, scope and a pistol stock and GO WILD!
    Need to sneak around and assassinate someone in your borderline socially unacceptable "world war 2" roleplay server, but only got you a big ol' bolt action with a 26 inch barrel? Saw it down to 12 inches, cut off that stock and, I dunno, hide it in your pants leg. It's still pretty big.

  • Muzzles
  • Grips
  • Stocks
  • Forends
  • Barrels
  • Slides
  • Trigger groups
  • Internal magazines
  • Scopes
  • Big ol' bulky laser sights

    Planned features!
    Here's some stuff I'd like to add for the full version!
  • Different mag types!
  • Guns using different ammo types!
  • Part conditions! Gotta maintain that barrel or you might have to swap it out!
  • Home made parts! Just in case you break the stock on your Winchester Model 70 and can't find another. Or if ya just wanna get a little Mad Maxy.
  • Working bayonets! All the custom parts might complicate this one, though.
  • More guns! I had something like 60-100 modeled when we went on hiatus, and I'd like to add 'em all in.

After some more testing - this is my favorite guns mod for B42. I hope you'll continue to give period accurate guns, or period accurate configs for us suckers.

I don't always play with your mods, but I always, always watch your videos you include. If the game supported video playback on TVs, I'm confident you'd make some of the best mods for that.

Hi. I would like to know where I can find silencers and various other body kits. Or is it possible to customize them in some way? I have been playing with your mod for a long time, but I have never found any silencers yet

Gun flaslights added by this mod are broken . It's impossible to remove or insert battery into them. Also, when a new gun flaslight is spawned, its charge is so low, that the "Remaining" bar shows no charge at all. Because of that, flashlight works only for about 10 or 30 seconds after being attached to a gun.
