The Contingency will now use Iron Cores, "Nineballs," and "Nineball Seraphs."
They appear as a defensive force in fleets added through starbase construction, and on each machine planet and the CX-9881 star system.
If you defeat the Crisis and obtain the "Detached Contingency Core" legacy, you will be able to research Crisis force sections and armament technology.
