描述
The L4M1 Cythol is a Khertland heavy transport truck featuring the 'Containerized Logistics System.' The L4M1 Cythol uses the 'Common Heavy Truck Chassis' with the CLS placed on its flatbed. The Cythol is intended to replace the Donamula at the divisional level logistics by providing higher load carrying capacity and larger size. Existing Donamulas were too small for higher echelon logistics. The Cythol's Containerized Logistics System allow it to use a hydraulic arm to load and unload standardized intermodal containers.

This system can carry heavier and larger quantities of supplies that can be prepared at a factory instead of on the field. The loading and unloading time is now measured in just a few minutes at most. The truck no longer needs to idle as it gets unloaded by hand. The plan is to continue using Donamulas for the last mile, after the prepackaged supplies has been broken up and distributed. For a similar reason, the divisional level logistics will keep some of its Donamulas for loose articles where the Cythol would be unsuited for. The army hopes this will improve upper echelon logistics and reduce the overall footprint of long convoys. It is estimated that the Cythol's efficiency is over 150% than that of the Donamula just by loading times alone. The Cythol also carries seven times the supply capacity, further amplifying the efficiency gains.

Minimally crewed by one, but a second person can sit in the passenger seat. The loading arm is controlled by a control panel on the driver seat, and the passenger seat can act as a ground guide, if the unloading area doesn't have anyone.

Inspired by the US Palletized Load System (PLS). The British also has a very similar system called the Demountable Rack Offload and Pickup System (DROPS).

I've never seen military trucks like that before. What is it based on?
