it really does need half life source i was an idiot i thought all of this requiring the game was a lie but it wasn't to get it working properly u have click on that thingy that says games and it will show all the valve games and it includes half life source u then click on the game that is needed and then it should be working (for those who are new to gmod or those who are confused that they have the game but models or textures or even sound are not showing)
